Yes it's because of the manifold cover which is a lot of material. But with the group buy it is still a good price

We can try but not sure how successful - the group buy price is already a lot down from what they want to sell it for. It's the manifold cover that brings the price up. 219 I feel is still manageable

Do we have a definitive answer on whether this can be installed without unbolting the turbo/manifold?

I hate to admit it but this answer will probably have a big impact on whether I join the group buy.

As stated above - Awilki is doing the install and will make a video about it. So we will know then

Ok bit of an update. I pulled the air box, 02 sensors and heat shield over manifold. With three items alone the turbo blanket itself won't be able to wrap. As you can see in the pictures two of the wire wraps attach from behind. I won't be able to tackle this problem until this weekend, but with some work I believe that with removing downpipe and lower turbo support bracket I can get it to wrap and attach wires with some creative string pulls, a pick tool and a second person. The good news is the manifold blanket itself should be fairly easy. Thanks for the patience and I will certainly come up with a solution where we do not have to remove manifold entirely as some of you know this is timely and a PITA.

There has to be something else that can be used in place of those wires.

No way in hell am I buying this if I have to remove my turbo again to install it. There has got to be another solution for everyone who already has a turbo bolted to their motor.

Something. After I posted I started wondering if twisting it would help it tighten. Something like a zip tie you can pull tight with one hand would be awesome.

Due to the location of those "rivets" twisting method won't work. Since those are the only two that don't use springs I am going to pick up some from the hardware store today and see if that can help with installation. Those are the hardest parts to attach due to the lack of give in them.

The stainless zip tie might be a good option. This area is covered by the manifold blanket as well so looks wise no one will know.

You won't. I am confident I can get it on without removing. Only interference is the lower turbo bracket. After install I am going to recommend to them a solution to not have a closed loop around that bracket so a simple slide on will work instead.

Thanks!
