Drop In Filter?

I am looking for recommendations on whether a high flow drop in filter is worth the money over the stock filter?

If so, what would you recommend in terms of product that does not require being oiled or cleaned?

I would prefer just to replace it with a new one as needed rather than deal with the whole oil/clean process that I had with a previous car and K & N.

Thanks!

If it's time for replacement it wouldn't hurt, but that's not something you invest in specifically for more power.

I've been doing that with the BMS intake (inb4 all the hate responses). It's $60 for a new filter. That's not a terribly large purchase the once a year I replace it.
No experience with drop-ins.

We offer Pipercross drop in filter, made in the UK.
Quality stuff for a low price

upgraded filter will get you a better air flow, but no increase in sound.

If you want an increase in sound get an intake instead. Agency Power is our most poplar option

Just do yourself a favor and stick with OEM. There's no benefit to an aftermarket drop in filter.

Thanks. This is kind of what I figured. Don't want to be dealing with any oil issues, etc.

+1

Stick with OEM paper or if you want to do something get an open intake, like BMS, etc. Will give you a bout of sound but no intake regardless of design, etc. will make significant power gains.

Watched that video a couple weeks ago. It was a great piece of knowledge. Keep in mind with a turbo car, there is even less to be gained with an aftermarket filter.

I use AFE drop in filter. I am guessing it is doing what is supposed to do. https://afepower.com/stock-replaceme...ce-air-filters
