JB4 + BT Arriving soon, any tips?

Hi all, I've finally ordered a JB4 with Bluetooth that arrives on Monday.

My 440i has got he MPPSK so just looking for some good tips. I always run a high octane fuel in the UK - think it's similar to the US 92/93. In the UK it's 100RON.

Any installation or config tips will be greatly appreciated

Head over to N54tech.com. Lots more technical info on the JB4 over there.

If you didn't order the FF and EWG wires, order them and install them first. Then check out my Map 6 settings over there. Lots of people have had better success with them vs. the standard maps and settings.

Thanks

I installed it today with Bluetooth and everything is working fine. Seems to provide more cracks and bangs from my MPPSK too.

On map 1 at the moment and will have a play with map 2 this weekend before logging some runs.

Loathed to try map 6 until I have more confidence and you guys see my logs on N54Tech.

Initial 3 mile drive on map 1 was good but not so smooth for power delivery albeit more.

Bullitt- I’ve done a longer run today on maps 1 and 2. No EWG cable yet, but it’s ordered.

I’ve logged to hard pulls but can’t seem to register for N54Tech as it ask for an anti spam question and I’ve no idea what it is - tried BMS but it fails.

Map 1 and 2 seem good so far, but I do get a hesitancy before full power hits and I fly off down the road. Except for that no issues in either map, even with hard 4th gear pulls all the way to the red line.

Questions -
will your settings for maps 6 reduce the hesitancy?
What does map 5 do?

Thanks

Try emailing support@burgertuning.com if you can't register. I would think BMS is a legitimate answer.

Can you attach your raw CSV files so I can review in more detail? What fuel are you using?

Yes, Map 6 should reduce the hesitation, if dialed in properly.

Map 5 is just a more aggressive version of Map 3, and requires very high octane.

It looks like you have plenty of octane, I just don't like how lean you are running. This is pretty typical for a non-MPPSK or M_40 car. If it was me, I would be careful and not run anything higher than Map 1, but that's just me.

Your AFR gets better at the end of the Map 1 log, but only because your DME BT lowers and you have throttle closure at the end, lowering boost and temporarily richening AFR.

Can you take some Map 0 logs to see what your AFR is supposed to look like with the stock flash?

Of course. You can enter any boost target you want with Map 6. But you need the octane and fueling to support it. Currently meth is the only way to get there until we get flash tuning.
