Service inclusive

Trying to decide whether to buy the 3 year plan for the 440, I don’t do huge mileage (max 6k pa), but have no idea what servicing costs as have always gone down the 5 year toute when it was available - thoughts would be appreciated

Do you remember whether you serviced your car twice in 3yrs previously or not? And how long you intend to keep the car.
We've just changed the wife's car and got the 3yr pack as part of the deal. Pretty sure we'll get 2 services out of it based on previous intervals.

with that millage I imagine you will only need 2 services in 3 years. Depends if you want to pay up front for it now vs at the time and how much they want for it now?

I probably wouldn't bother with a three year pack. My 440i is on 10k at 22 months and the first service will be time based.

I have a five year pack, fortunately.

I do around 9k pa in my 430d. I’ve had one oil service and will get the fluid service inside 3 years. Find out how much that costs and you’ll have your answer.

You’ll get the oil service at 2 years (less than £300) and the brake fluid at 3 years (less than £100) so not worth it for you.

Just spoken with Coopers - £290 at 2 years but they say brake fluid at 3 years (£110) isn’t included so definitely won’t be buying the pack. Thanks for all your input guys.

pretty good value, if you do the miles IMO.
~£300 for 18 k service
~£550-£600 for 36 k service...

Just checked mine online. I have the 5 year pack but it looks as if the brake fluid change is not included.

I think it depends upon when the service pack was bought. They service packs have been downgraded in a series of small steps over the last decade or so. From 60k miles with brake fluid every 2 years, to 50k miles and brake fluid after 3 years, to 36k miles with no brake fluid... There were other more minor downgrades in there too so it is possibly that your 5 year pack isn't the same as one bought earlier.

We got one of the last 8 year 80k mile service packs on our Mini (TLC+TLC XL).

Mine is a 5 year 50k mile pack. However, if i look up the details on line it only lists oil services and warranty check. :confused
I'll find out in a few weeks as it's booked in for brake fluid.

My 5 year 50k mile pack included brake fluid at 3 years, but the pack was bought when the car was new in April 2014. I imagine that your car is more recent if it doesn't include brake fluid - this could have been one of their incremental downgrades to the service pack.

My 5-year/50k miles pack definitely included brake fluid changes.

In fact, as my car was on the 2-year brake fluid changes (from new) and the service pack was issued when buying the car (as goodwill) after a year old, I had three brake fluid changes under the service package.

Surely any current 5-year service package includes the 3-year brake fluid change.

I think your car is 2011/12 which may explain the difference. By 2014 the first brake fluid change was at 3 years, and 2 years for subsequent changes, but I hit 50k miles long before the second change is due.

It may be that Nobby's 50k pack does include brake fluid too, although with the incremental downgrading of the service pack, it may not.

May be someone who has a 2015, 5 year service pack can see what the online service page says fo them.
It may just not be listed.
