I understand the car is going around a track, but it looks like the car is on stilts...

The exterior, if you take off that cammo tape, is extremely similar to the current model. Why futz with success. The interior retains the same feel, but looks nicely updated to me. They finally got rid of that stupid silver plastic "knee knocker" bar on the center console. I hated that thing, if you're doing autox. You'd literally bruise yourself.

LOL, a 120i/120d/130i gives you more fun, sorry. ok IMHO IMHO.
The car is at its best on B roads but still I don't like the FWD layout and 200 charged BHPs. Traction isn't a word invented by mini.co.uk if you ask me

(Driven the One, Cooper, S and S with 200BHP and a lot of smoke from the front train )

But I always liked the looks and build quality, materials!
The new one...Dunno yet...

I think you're probably on the money with the 1 series, but we can't get those here yet

Thank you.

This highlights the cry-baby attitude that permeates this forum (and most BMW/MINI forums's, at that).

"WAAHHHHH! They RUINED the MINI! Oh no'es!"

I don't believe that these pre-production mules had the sports suspension, and MINI increased suspension travel and improved damping across the line to address the complaints of the first-gen's admittedly crashy ride. It's also been tuned to the run-flats the way the E90 was. Handling and grip are improved, regardless - and the sport's suspension apparently now carries the car as close to the ground as legally possible.

It looks almost EXACTLY the same except for different bumper-bits, alot of colored camo-tape, and a hood that's a WHOPPING 1-2 inches taller to meet pedestrian impact regulations. Spare me, guys. Come on, lol.

If anything, it looks less flaccid.

Duct tape, originally known as duck tape, is a strong, fabric-based, multi-purpose adhesive tape, usually silver or black in color, although many other colors, including transparent, have recently become available. Duct tape is usually 1.88 inches (48 mm) wide. It was originally developed during World War II in 1942 under the name "Duck Tape" as a waterproof sealing tape for ammunition cases. Permacel, then a division of Johnson & Johnson, used a rubber-based adhesive to help the tape resist water and a fabric backing to facilitate ripping. Because of these properties, it was also used to quickly repair military equipment, including jeeps, guns, and aircraft. Duct tape is also called 100mph Tape in the military, citing the urban legend that duct tape will maintain its adhesion when subjected to winds traveling at up to 100 miles per hour.

After the war, the housing industry boomed and people started using duct tape for many other purposes. The name "duct tape" came from its use on heating and air conditioning ducts, a purpose for which it, ironically, has been deemed ineffective by the state of California and by building codes in most other places in the U.S. (which means professionals are restricted from using it in systems they install, but do-it-yourselfers are not). However, metallized and aluminium tapes used by professionals are still often called "duct tapes".

I was being sarcastic.
