Any chance you can send me links to the latest coding software pls. Can you also provide pointers as I've read upon the subject but am a complete noob!

Was thinking about it a bit more, wonder if it will allow me to press the lock button on the remote first, while the trunk is open, then the kick to close might lock and arm?

Going to try it when I go back to the car, because when you have your hands full with stuff and you kick to close, it is difficult to press the lock button on the remote to arm and lock.
