still, I only did 5000km this year with the car, they look like shit now lol. I remember I used to buy neuspeed and H&r springs back then for 200$ CAD brand new and they never rusted like that.

To OP... not normal. Maybe after 20 years or something but after a season they should be little more then simply dirty. I guess its possible that road salts and chemicals were EXTREMELY potent this year in Quebec but I have never seen anything like that. Mine look like this too I even painted them with rust paint after the first year. I'm not in Quebec with harsh road chemicals either! Submitting a ticket

But even if we get replacements, we have to go through the hassle of replacing them again (300++$ job + alignment), will they be rusted again in 2 years? if it's the case it's not worth it. Do we have to put something on them like grease to prevent the rust? Dinan?

I have a can of spray undercoating handy. When I pull my wheels to rotate the tires I look around for anything that's rusting and give it a spritz.

Do the specs claim being painted or powder coated? I can’t see a powder coated spring having so little resistance to corrosion

Shouldnt have to do anything. Never seen this happen before so not sure if its a bad batch or what.

The springs are powder coated and made in California.

Again, if you have this issue please reach out to tech support folks and they will assist in getting it resolved.

Dinan proposed me to send me replacement spring later in may (backorder now) and to sent back mine after.

It's a good proposition considered I'm out of warranty, but it's not worth it on my side, It will cost me 400$ of labour to replace the spring and do the alignment, for something is not my fault (this is clearly a manufacture defect, or they cheaped out on the paint layers).

Won't buy again their product, I paid 600$++ in Canada for this springs and the bump stop kit, and 400$ for the labour, all that to get rusted out spring after 2 years. Bad experience overall.

I owned many cars and I always replaced the springs and shocks with performance one, I mostly used neuspeed and H&R and I NEVER had any problems or rusted out spring.

If you live in California, they might last a while without rusting, but if you live somewhere there's winter, these springs are not mean for winter driving.

I suppose the rust probably doesn't affect the ride. How is the ride by the way, we're you happy with the springs despite the paint issue?

Yes the ride is quite good, I think the spring are a bit too soft tho. The rust doesn't affect the ride. It's only aesthetic.
