Oh believe me, I know some of the challenges in the corporate world, especially when you need to be tied up with the legal department. I myself have been trying to get a project off the ground at work and had to get all the documents sorted out with legal and for a privacy certification it took them a year to finally review and approve.....A year delay for some hot-shot lawyer to finally decide it was important enough to warrant an hour out of their precious time.

I found this thread quite by accident and very pleased to see there is some progress inn improving the functionality of the Canadian system. It would be very useful for BMW.ca to spam Canadian owners to advise them of the new features, web site locations, procedures etc so everyone can take advantage of the improvements.
I think what frustrates people the most is the fact that we have paid a subscription fee for a service that has been less than stellar and in comparison to other countries, very limited.
When the "new" system is available, please broadcast to as wide an audience as possible and include all the key websites and info.

Any update? Just bought a used 2015 X6 (F16) and have the following options, wondering if I can get connected drive set up...dealerships and BMW Canada havent been a big help.Would love to get the connected drive (Weather etc) and real time traffic....is this possible on my vehicle?

In the US market some older vehicles like 2014 and prior had 2g wireless which was discontinued by ATT so you couldn't renew the connected drive subscription even if you're willing to pay for it. Those still under the free period either got a gift card or could upgrade to 3g but if you were past the free period you were out of luck.

Hi Kris,

When I picked-up my used 435iX, I had to ask my local BMW dealer to setup an Electronic Subscriber Agreement in my name. Once completed, ConnectedDrive was re-enabled.

Based on your specs, it appears you have the ConnectedDrive Essential Plan (assuming your VIN is registered with BMW Canada). If you would like the additional ConnectedDrive Services such as ARTTI and Remote Services, you will have to upgrade your ConnectedDrive plan to the Professional Plan. The Professional Plan includes: Remote Services (6AP), ARTTI (6AM), Concierge Services (6AN), BMW ConnectedDrive Service Package (6AK) and BMW Apps (6NR).

Thanks Larry, appriciate your help. My Connected Drive doesnt seem to do anything right now. But those services you listed is what Im looking for. I have an appt next Friday to have the local dealer look at it. Was hoping the website would be up as would it allow me to do it myself?? Also what does the ConnectedDrive Essentials include??

Hi Kris,

You should have at least "Emergency Call" and "TeleServices". Try pushing your SOS button to see if it initiates a call to the BMW Call Centre. If you have no ConnectedDrive Services, your BMW dealer may not have set you up with an ESA.

I have attached a crop of my ESA showing the ConnectedDrive Services bundled in the two Service Plans. FYI, I upgraded from Essential to Professional in May/17 for $650+HST.

Sorry for being MIA, but I was out of the country for the last two weeks.

I know it has been a long time coming, but the ConnnectedDrive portal is now live and fully functional on BMW.ca

It seems that something is wrong with the link, I am getting an error
The page you were requesting was not found". Error 404

I was hoping to find the link at https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.com/c...selection.html but Canadian portal is not yet listed

You can also access the new ConnectedDrive online store on the home page of BMW.ca. There is a box directly below the main banner ad and the store is also the 4th main banner add.

Looking at the site, when you click login from the fourth banner for MyConnectedDrive, it brings you to a 404 error page not found.

Thanks canadian33. Tried again, including bmw.ca same error. It might work for you because you are behind BMW corporate firewall so you probably use an internal DNS server to resolve the IP/site, case in which DNS server has the correct entry.
This is just my assumption. I am sure the techs will correct the issue pretty soon.

Is working ! For you info, if you already had a userid/password combination you are using for your mobile Remote App (Android or iOS) , then use that combination to log in.
Do not try to register again, it will fail

There is a cache issue with BMW.ca

If you get the 404 error, you can hit refresh or the back button and it should pull up the login or registration landing page.

We are looking into the issue and will hopefully have it fixed soon.
