It cost me $600 paint/install which is what it seems to be the going rate. Some were cheaper and some were more. Guess it will depend on your area and shop. I actually tried to get the BMW body shop to do it and they refused. For the plate, yes the manual one is a lot less, but I wanted to be able to put it up and down from inside the car. I keep it retracted all the time and if I get pulled over I will flip it up and say..What do you mean I have no front plate officer?? Think you need to look again. :-) |

Looks fantastic. If I had some spare cash I would do the change.
Might have a search for some UK supplier anyway lol ;-) |

I have a Sport Line and wanted to possibly do the front bumper....and even at $1000, seems like a much better deal than paying of the M-Sport (I have no other issues with the look of my car, inside or out, except the front bumper). |

For me it was a couple of things. One was the additional cost. I knew I was going with Vossens and I was lowering it with coils, so the M-sport wheels and the 704 suspension was a waste to me. The money I saved there would easily pay for the conversion. At the time there were no M-sports on the lots and nothing to look at anywhere so I did not do my homework on the interior upgrades. That's the part I regret because the M-sport with the minor upgrades like the steering wheel would have been worth it, BUT I got mine at a killer deal so I would had to pay an extra $9k on top to just get the M-sport package because the dealer would of had to order it when this car was there on their lot already. At that point it was not worth it. I knew I was only going to keep this car a couple years and move into the new M once it came out and had time to work out the bugs. It was more of the deal for me. I got this car less than what I originally wanted which was a 2011 335, but couldn't find one with the options I wanted in good condition. The nice thing about this is you only need to do the front. The sides are not a lot of difference and I actually prefer the rear bumper over the m-sport because it flows versus the transformer look that so many car companies are trying to do. |

One of my favorite things about my F32 over my F30 is the MSport wheel. Such leather, such thickness, much nice.
LOL! Your car is great tho, and everything you said makes completely sense.

I looked at converting that too. The steering wheel is not too expensive, but the airbag is crazy expensive. I can't fathom putting that much into this car now. I plan to put the new M on order later this year. The mod bug is brutal to hold off. LOL Last edited by Dippydo; 02-17-2015 at 04:39 PM.. |

I am going to get the m-sport front bumper retrofit because of this thread.
It looks great!

Hi Dippy can you PM me the link to the motorized plate? I bought the m-sport bumper and the last thing I want to do is ruin it with a front plate.
edit: NVM I see the link in the 2nd page http://www.amazon.com/Electric-Power.../dp/B001TLLZ4E
