most grilles are 2 pieces together.
you normally just take them out as one piece, and they get delivered as one piece, but if you look at them it is actually 2 pieces together. I'm sure he just took out the inner piece which holds the grilles. Just unhook the tabs, pop the grilles out, you're left with just the outer part.

May I ask you what is the piece of trim lowest to the ground on the front bumper called? I cracked mine and need to replace only am unsure if it is "front bumper trim-center", "front bumper spoiler", "front bumper lip"....? Any help would be appreciated.

I learned to love this color
I never owned a black car before. I know it requires more effort to keep looking clean. When I searched to find a CPO F30, I was able to find this BSM in the specs that I liked. Anyway, 2 years of ownership and I've learned to love this color. Anything of value requires hard work. Black is classy and aggressive at the same time. It's not calling attention, but it looks even better than all the colors when it's clean.
