Question

I have run the Rearm script after setting the date back and before installing Launcher Premium and running it. Launcher Premium works fine runs E-Sys connects to the car via Vin, lets me read FA, SVT, and read code and edit, save the code and code it back, No Errors. However, it is not actually writing to the car, because when I do it again, it is back to original setting. I have tried several times. I am sure there is some cockpit pilot problem, but I do not know what. The only strange thing is that E-Sys never asks for the pin I assigned in Launcher, at any point, that is perhaps how Rearm works

I've replied to your PM about this.

I think this is something in E-sys. There was a thread about this before from somone having the same problem. Hope you'll get this resolved!

Cheers, Tony

I tried searching, but not finding it. Anyone remember a thread about FDL coding not working?

Esys launcher pro 2.8.2 is now free:
http://tokenmaster.blogspot.com/2019...o-282.html?m=1

No more rearm needed. Most likely DOES NOT work on windows 10 1809. Will work on 1803 and 1903 (coming soon).

Edit: verified NOT working on windows 1809, in case you're wondering.

Double edit: I WOULD NOT recommend using this. It asks you to install a CA root certificate that he most likely is using for nefarious purposes.

That's interesting that he is installing a CA Root. Wonder what he is using it for.

Based on the aggression in his blog post, I wouldn't be surprised if he's using it in some way to track down some of the people who reverse engineered his code or have been selling keys. When I get back to the laptop I use for car stuff, I might run wireshark and see if it's phoning home to anything...

Sounds good man. I'm definitely weary about installing random root certs.

Keep us updated!

I normally just run a VM that is usually isolated from networking and only allowed to connect to the enet cable.

On topic please

OK people, great news that Tokenmaster is still alive.
Frustrated, but alive!

Despite the circumstances it's still good to see that there's yet another alternative for using E-sys. I wonder how long it takes for that token to expire...

@Tokenmaster, if your reading this, I can totally relate to you feeling upset, abused and exploited, but please don't give up on your dreams. Never. Keep your head up and don't let these people get to you. You're above that. And it's bad for your health. Instead of focusing on the negative things take a minute to stop and think about all the great things your work did for charities around the world and the impact that had on who knows how many people's lives. I really hope you'll find the inspiration again to help people the way you did before. Stay true to yourself and don't give up your dreams.

That being said, I urge everyone to stay on topic and not discuss the merits of the new PRO Launcher any further in this thread. If you want to talk about it, feel free to start a new thread but keep this thread clean. Thanks everybody.

Cheers, Tony

Interesting. I suppose none of that would matter if your laptop doesn't connect to the internet anyways. Ie. My coding laptop is a dedicated machine for BMW diagnostics and I rarely ever turn the wifi on.

I saw the expiration was April 2020 when I did a test on my VM.

Not only in a VM. In the "BFU_XODE.EST" file it is defined
NotValidBefore="2019-04-14"
NotValidAfter="2020-04-21"

And then?

People, please stop discussing the new PRO Launcher here or start a new thread. As I said before, it's great to have an alternative for starting E-sys, but this thread is about rearming an expired Premium Launcher. Please stay on topic.

Cheers,

---------

Ok. i'm getting activation code request when I hit Launcher.
I reverted time back, disabled Avira real time monitoring, executed the script- got green screen.
I get a pop up box asking for activation code. What should I do next?
I'm running Win 10 1703

One simple thing to check: is the date still reverted when you run the Launcher? Best to disconnect your Ethernet=>Internet connection and disable WiFi before you get started.
