Will decide tomorrow. I might take the old ones and ask for a freebie, like a service, or free alloy and tyre insurance. If they just swap mine onto the pre reg, they can cancel the order and save £4K.
So what have you decided?

I've asked the, to get me the ones of the X4 that's in their stock and make me an offer of a sweetener. Roughly £400 I think the sales lady is trying to get me, enough for a detail.

But, the car has been sent to Derby for a recall on the bonnet she says so not sure when it'll be back

Think they're being reasonably genuine. It still shows on their website as a pre reg available for sale.

It was in the line of used cars outside when I bought mine because I nearly went out in it for a test drive until they realised the parts manager had an X3 M40i. It's definitely not on site anywhere in Chesterfield.

They say it went to the body shop in Derby for something, collected on a flat bed. As it isn't sold I can't thing of any other reason they'd have done that.

The new wheels have turned up before they can get the X4 back from Derby. After all the messing about I still get the free first service as well.....win/win.

Fitting tomorrow ready for the weekend, I might have a drive in the Peaks too isleaiw1

I could be there for a coffee at 11ish?

No point in racing over the speed limits , quiet roads up there. I think it'll be close in launch up to 60, I predict very close to 40 and then a win for the M5 to 60.

Or failing that, just a coffee and a nosey at the cars?

Just in case anyone else fancies a short notice meet, it's a great location. On the edge of the Peaks, 15 mins from junction 29 of the M1, great country roads all around, good sized car park and decent place for a coffee/beer/snack.

Red Lion
Darley Road

Not quite confirmed yet......just waiting to see if isleaiw1 has to mow his mums lawn.....

Very nice Alex. Let’s hope you agree with Joe that the M40 is preferable....

Will be there tomorrow -it’s not cutting the grass, she has a man for that. Anyone know best place for supply and fit of a new job unit in the kitchen....
