Charge pipe guidance

Hello folks. I recently got back into the BMW game again and bought my 3rd 335i. Looking for some advice from everyone based on their experience with the various charge pipes out there. Last IC and CP combo I bought was from ETS and it worked well. I’ve scoped out various threads and see VRSF, BMS, ER charge pipes and am leaning towards the ER CP.

I just installed the 5” VRSF IC and also running BMS Stage 1 on my 2015 335i (by the way it’s an AH3 too ). The OEM charge pipe was actually just replaced by BMW a month ago per the previous owner. I think I’ve got time as the CP is new and not worn yet but of course I’m thinking I need to upgrade the CP soon.

So... thoughts?

Keep the OEM one for a little while?
ER vs VRSF vs Others???

Thanks for any advice!

VRSF is... well its VRSF.

ER is generally regarded as the 'best' (in terms of quality/consistency/fitment, they all perform the same assuming they fit).

FTP is another popular option, and the cheapest, and you can get a kit with TIC as well.

There's endless info out there, just research and make a decision. Xdrive offerings may be limited.

No one makes a better quality, better fitting chargepipe than Evolution Racewerks. Made in USA. Other cheaper overseas CPs are hit or miss with their spotty quality control. That's why you read one guy say good things and another guy say it sucks

Thanks. The more I read about VRSF fits I get iffy. Leaning towards ER. Anyone have any experience with the BMS? Haven’t seen much about it which can be good or bad I guess.

The bottom line is that any CP can work. Its really just a matter of how likely it is to work without issues for one brand vs another

The best charge pipe on the market is Evolution Racewerks (handbuilt in the US). Second, best is the Active Autowerke.

We also carry BMS and CTS Turbo pipes, good fitment and quality at a more budget-friendly price

FTP by a mile. Excellent quality. Fits correctly. Crinkle black finish. All O-rings and C-clip included. Super fast shipping. $270 vs $330 for the ER CP.

We offer the FTP its a really good option, I would not compare the quality to Evolution Racwerks. ER quality is second to none.

But the for the price, i would definitely consider the FTP brand

I have the vrsf intercooler as well and I went with the BMS charge pipe because it was $199 when I got it. I would of went vrsf but heard so many mix things I didn't want to chance it. No issues here!
