Cruise Control Malfunction...another one
I’ve read as many other threads as possible, but couldn’t gain a clear understanding. I’m thinking the problem is the SZL, but wanted to hear if others could confirm. (Symptoms below) I also wanted to gain clarification if the replacement SZL will need to be coded. I’ve read opposite answers in this. My car is a 2014 manual without a heated steering wheel, if that matters.
Symptoms: Car intermittently would have the cruise control malfunction warning pop up occasionally. Eventually it lead to happening every day and had been consistent for months. I have tried to replace the steering wheel buttons to see if that would do it, but it did not. No other warnings or codes pop up. The other buttons on the steering wheel do not work either. All feedback and help is thanked for in advance! |

Its your clock spring. You need to replace it. Very common problem .
You may be able to repair it but i wasn't able to find a visible issue with it when i pulled mine out. I replaced mine with a used one off eBay from a car with 61k miles.. Eventually you will lose your horn function and other steering wheel buttons (edit just saw you said your other buttons arent working either lol) |
Appreciate
