comes with tune and wiring harness was on a 2015 335xi, you have the option with this tune to select Base, Stage 1 and Stage 2. So its a great way to get stages 1 and 2 to future proof if you ever want to add the CAI or Exhaust. Stage 1 requires no added boltons to run at its potential. Much improved over stock set up, shifts are butter and power band has oem feel. Not jerky or choppy like some tunes. Also leaps and bounds above the 299 sport tune. Special Note: This kit is currently NOT for cars equipped with BMW M-Performance software (MPPK). For MPPK equipped cars there is a separate part number.

This version of the DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner is ONLY compatible with vehicles equipped with an electronic wastegate.

Vehicles with a manufacture date prior to 07/2013 should utilize a mechanical wastegate. Vehicles with a production date after 06/2013 should utilize an electronic wastegate. Only a visual identification is 100% accurate.

Can you clarify if I need permission or an activation code of some sort from Dinan if I buy this unit used? I heard each unit is registered or VIN specific. How does it work? Thanks!

Not true plug and play. All of my products Have been confirmed working on my car and tested. No issues as long as the car is proper spec. No issues using his on any car it’s made for. Dinan will support any of their hardware regardless of where it was purchased from. Great tuner!

Yes, you download the Dinan app that’s free the one without the red S on it. Once connected to the car and the units installed you can access it via the app and the last four digits of the MAC address listed on the unit. Then you’ll see 3 options for a tune to choose from
B=stock/base
S1=stage 1
S2=stage 2

Nice thing is you have access to change to any of these when you choose via the app. Hope that answers your question.
