I don't see how you can get past the lock on the dme without physically removing it and unlocking. Some othet site said their obd cable is able to do it as well but it costs 1200$ EUR....

Sharing this with my local tuner who only does bench flashes at the moment...I wonder if they'll bite, I'd love to have one of these 15 minutes away.

i'm skeptical...why haven't the major players ie bootmod, mhd etc, jumped on this...?

i would think this would expand their business opportunities significantly...?

Because you don't know if it actually works or not. If noone has tested it, it's because it doesn't work or it's brand new.

Oh wow! Finally!!!

Facebook post seems to indicate unlock+flashing can be done via a regular KDCAN cable (not the 1900 euro cable released by magicmotorsports). If so, this is HUGE!

And as expected, pricing is competitive with bootmod3.

Looks like beta testing should end by mid-Feb, so the final product should be ready by March.

pricing technically is way cheaper than BM3 cause now there is no need to physically remove the DME and unlock.

Excellent point.

In fact PTF probably saw this coming, which is why they're on the verge of releasing their own F series OBD unlock...though it remains to be seen how that will be priced.

it a waiting game at this point.

All in all, its good competition for the F platform and N55. I love JB4 but nothing can beat a flash tune.

But how hard is it to remove the DME? The inconvenience that I see with removing the DME would be only your car having downtime.
However this MHD product will be great to see. Still leaning towards BM3 till we see whats up with the MHD for F3X updates.Im hoping success!

At least on the F series N55, it can be a pain in the rear.
