Can I load the Kri config.xml factory even after updating to 3.8.3?

So the only solution for the Audio Bug is to install the 3.6.3 over 3.8.0 ?
It sucks to get in the Volume Settings and touch the volume bar to get the real sound. Otherwise its silent

Your questions got me thinking and spent a few hours reading posts.

I now realize I purchased a unit from a LS vendor. Two last questions:

Do I still have an option to control things with the iDrive with this unit?

If not, is there a way to determine which vendor sells GS units? I'll buy another unit if I have to.

Your vendor is ALS, not LS, normally this does not matter as it is only a different vendor like GS who is cloning the device.
Software should work anyways.

So your unit does not receive or decode CAN Messages at all, like you said its a issue in direction of MCU.

You could also check the harness again if there is any issue, maybe a reseat will help.
When you are firm wir electronics you can also measure if there is at least some power at the CAN cables (about 2.5 to 4 Volts)
If you don`t know, then please someone do that who has the skill.

Apart from that then your seller comes in charge to either replace your unit or (faulty?) send you a MCU file again.

please note, when they ask for pictures send them only screenshots when their original software version was installed, otherwhise most of them stop support.

You can use differen factory_config.xml at any time , its not limited to install them only when updating.

I already reported the bugs to my seller (i hope some other guys here did also).
They even didn`t knew about 3.8.3 , their latest is 3.8.0
However, since the Corona virus issue, they will start working maybe on 10th february, so it probably will take some time until we see some a new version.

Finding where I could take +12v from this connector that you see in the first pic, I mess it up and now I have no power in that cable anymore, so the controls of the radio like the volume knob and radio station buttons and also AC panel does not respond. I checked the cable before, and I got 12v from the third one on the right, but now I got no power at all so the front panel won't turn up, any ideas? Anything I could do? All the fuses seem to be fine and the car has been resting for 12 hours or so.

You might have blown a fuse. I did the same once, and had all the same symptoms.

Hi guys .. on my HU the idrive buttons doesnt work One day and in another day they work.. i have the rádio for BMW e90 with no screen(yes i cut the tablier xP)
Another question, the volume on BT call has bad volume, any solution to this? If i increase the volume this is ok but after the call the volume on the música explode my head LOL..

I have bought the last year an Android 9.0 Unit by Navifly. Everything was working, but since two weeks I have this Problem:



when I start the car, the OEM side stays with the BMW Connect logo but it doesn't continue. After about three minutes it restarts and the same problem again. That's a "loop".

If I change to the Android side, everything works fine, except the iDrive, wich only allows "lateral" movements.

I just can only listen to the radio, because that is what I was listening to when the problem appeared.

I have reset the unit by pressing the back button, but nothing changes.

Can anyone help me?

You have problem with your headunit on OEM side.
Has nothing to do with the android screen.

do you have esys? try to code kombi the same way you reset it and it works fine again

Did you update two weeks ago? In that case, you need to go to Factory settings, Vehicle, and select the option "no display" (or similar).

I did factory reset, installed 3.6.3 over 3.8.0, then upgraded to 3.8.3, did another factory reset, no sound bug anymore. So I'm now at 3.8.3.

Okay but after a factory reset i need to install all my apps again or ?

I asked my vendor he told me that i just write an email to the engineer of their company. I did it now with a video maybe they do an other update again

Yes,you must install all apps again but you can make a backup or something
