Puddle lights

Does anyone know if the doors on my F30 2013 are prewired for the puddle lights?

I believe it already has puddle lights. My 2016 has them and I swapped them out for the projector lights with m logo that I brought on Amazon.

Unfortunately mine doesn't.

In the UK we have to pay extra for the lighting package to get them, same as the LED lights in the door handles.

It's fairly rare for wiring to exist for an option that isn't installed on your car, although it does happen in some cases. Wiring harnesses are fairly customized for each car. You can always take off your door panel to check. You realize you'd also have to cut a hole in the bottom of your door panel, though.

That may be the only option to remove the door panel.

Cutting the hole would be fine as I would source the lights first.

Retrofitting the lights probably is a pretty easy DIY. Wait her cut holes or source panels with them.

Thought there might be a plugged opening with access to the harness. Did not know they did not cut the puddle light opening on all the doors.

Unfortunately in the UK we get completely different options to the US, we don't even get the the little cubby hole under the light switch without paying loads extra.

If they are not pre wired you might be able to get aftermarket battery powered LEDs. These may look better than stock when illuminated. I have the oem illuminated door sills and they are battery powered and use magnets to detect when the door is closed.

I have looked around various places and searched the internet for battery powered puddle lights to no effect.

I may try and make some as the stuff needed is cheap from China.
