Heat gun and floss. Fishing line would be better but didn’t have any. Automotive goo gone got rid of the last bit I couldn’t get off with my fingers.

I'm typically anti chrome too, this was my father's car though and it's a total old man ride. Luxury line, BSM with saddle interior, polished window trim, silver wheels etc. Beautiful car, not what I would have ordered myself but a beautiful car. All that is to say I'm embracing the good doctor's style and running with it.

Re-wrapped some of my interior bits with this stuff:

It's better than the felt stuff I had on before. Feels more felt-like than alcantara-like, but overall I like it. I prefer it over the glare & fingerprint prone gloss black that I have stock, and I'm avoiding faux carbon fiber. Thinking about buying a bit more and trying to wrap the inside of the interior door pulls. I just would like to avoid taking the whole door cards off.

Use a pry tool to pop out the whole switch assembly. It's pretty easy and you don't risk breaking any tabs. I'm pretty sure there are a number of YouTube vids.

I took the smallest flat head screwdriver I had (the small electronics kind) and took the whole assembly out. Watch this vid.

Morning, all,

Wolfus Aurelius here. I'm new to BMWs, though not to German cars. I drove the products of BMW's loved/hated Stuttgart rival from 1998 to 2007. Now my ride is a '15 328i, gold over cream, 26,700 miles, CPO, w/ 17" wheels and tires. Pics below!

This week I gave the gold beast a claying, glazing, and waxing; installed WeatherTech tan floor mats; received front-and-back HeatShield sunshades which didn't fit, and sent them back; ordered 2 Mann oil filters and the BMW windshield washer concentrate; and plan to order a 5-quart jug of BMW LongLife-01 oil. The oil change is a good ways off, but I want to make sure I can get the required oil at a decent price; as I understand it Castrol no longer has oil with the BMW LL-01 certification.

I'll have questions in the appropriate forums as soon as I'm approved. In the meantime I plan to get the windows tinted and a clear bra on the front, and then just drive the heck out of the gold beast!

(And I do like that red start/stop button. Where to buy? Amazon?)
