First Man (Film)

Just watched it, bloody awesome, really enjoyed it!

In case you don’t know, it’s Neil Armstrong’s story up to the Moon landing:

Is it really good then? I fancied watching it but the reviews on IMDB put me off.

Yes, if you like meaningful true stories.

I assume most people that don't like it are the short attention types that like big, brash, over the top Hollywood nonsense, or those inane comic book superhero films that are being pumped out almost weekly these days.

This and 'Darkest Hour' are the two best films of the past year or so for me.

It wasn't for me overall. The film had it's good points but it was longer than it needed to be and parts of it seemed very slow. I'd give it 6 out of 10.

No, I haven't gotten round to watching it yet. Looks potentially good though, and I enjoyed Gran Torino (which a few people have compared it to).

Yep, and he seems in pretty good nick for almost 90 too. Kirk Douglas is still going at 102 ... he is Spartacus!
