Big Daddy Mini Cat
Good morning all. Is anyone using the Big Daddy mini cat?
http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/mini...ddies%20Garage I tried a search but wasn't successful. Because I need to have emissions performed annually, I will be switching out my cat and DP at least once a year. Doing it once a year doesn't bother me but I will still be going in for scheduled service through the 40k mile mark (currently have 14k on the odometer) and I'm trying to avoid 2+ changeovers per year. I'm currently building a good relationship with my SA and am wondering if it will get to the point where I can bring the car in for scheduled service with my DP. As I would remove the JB4, my thought is that the Big Daddy mini cat will keep the car from throwing a CEL. Thoughts? Thanks! |

Ok, thanks. So.....would the thought be that it is prone to burning out within 200 miles?
No, haven't pulled the trigger yet as I was hoping there were a number of folks with experience. |

This would definitely help me when it comes to my downpipe choice. Could save my like 600 bucks lol. Also, is the mini cat for the pre or post sensor?

I have the big daddy mini-cat with a VRSF catless downpipe. It's been installed on my 2015 335i for about a year and 12,000 miles. I got a CEL on a long 500 mile road trip when really pushing the car through the mountains. The CEL cleared after a week. My only other mod is an AA8 stage one piggy back tune. I've been in for service, nothing was mentioned (I only removed the AA8 tune). My SA is cool, I'm sure he could have said something as you can tell by the sound and smell but he has an M3 with JB4. I highly recommend the big daddy mini-cat, it will get you past your inspections.
