I use CarPlay so wouldn't see the advantage from the Android updates. |

Judging from the version number I would've said a newer version for Andream CIC A-Version. But I saw someone else with that version number before and they said it was asking for a GEMINI_PACK.BIN which would indicate a B-Version. So far I haven't seen an update for your type of device. ----------------- Also here's a sneak peek of what we are currently working on: Last edited by Firefly1337; Yesterday at 11:00 AM.. |

Interesting, seems that you have a different firmware version "B2_V1.1.2" than the ones that we have here. to have audio with your box you don't need to use a AUX cable, what you need to do is to activate in idrive multimedia menu the AUX connection. |

Android Auto wireless pairing: Enable WiFi on your smartphone. Next go to Bluetooth settings and switch Bluetooth OFF and back ON. On MMI Prime go to Settings-> Wireless Devices-> Wireless CarPlay Pairing and click Start Search. Wait until your phone appears on the list and the search process ends. Click on your phone name and accept all of the pop-ups that will appear on your smartphone screen. Within around a minute your smartphone should connect to Android Auto wirelessly. If after around a minute Android Auto does not connect, go to Settings-> Wireless Devices-> Paired Devices on your MMI Prime, select your phone and click to connect. For Android phones you should also connect your smartphone to the factory BMW Bluetooth system. |

Colors on F10 NBT
Hi,
I installed my unit today on my F10 with NBT (2014 M5). Everything works great but my only complaint is colors do seem a bit washed out. I played around with display settings and got it to improve slightly but it could be better. My unit came with b2_v1.1.2 pre-installed. Anyone on experiencing this? Curious if a different firmware or display settings can help improve. Thanks! |

I have noticed variations in the quality of the color and graphics among the various sw versions that I have flashed. You may want to see if the seller has an update. |

Hi everyone
I don't have a wireless AA compatible phone. I would like to leave a second fixed SIM-free phone in the car connected USB to AA and with the tethering of the first personal phone with SIM provide network to the second phone for multimedia and navigation functions of AA. Can it work? Obviously, I will not be able to use telephony with AA, but can I do it with the car's original hands-free Bluetooth system? Thanks |

I am also asked for the Gmini file for update. Unfortunately, I don't get an update file for the interface from the seller. So it looks like I can't use modified firmware from the first page ?! Sorry for my bad english. I write in German and then translate into English with Google. |

Roadtop reverse camera connection cause minor issues
I just installed my rear camera for my F30 to my Roadtop MMI. I know this discussion is for the Andream unit but they are basically the same unit. Below is how I connected the camera.
Everything works fine except the reverse light will stay on for a while (although dimmer than usual). But occasionally when I open my trunk even when engine is off, the reverse light where I tapped the 12V from has a dim lit also for a short while. This quite annoying. Secondly when ever I start my car or press the start button to on, the car will register a reverse light failure. But all's well when I start moving reversing or going forward. I suspect the red wire that comes with the video cable that I connected one end to the Roadtop reverse cam 12V out and the other to the reverse light 12V is causing this issue. I am not sure if this is how I should connect it but by not connecting both ends, the camera will work for a short while and off itself. While connecting just one end to either the 12V reverse light or the Roadtop Reverse cam 12V out will also cause the camera to turn on for a short while before switching off. No idea what is causing the issue. Will write to Roadtop to seek their advice but was wondering if anyone here came across similar issue and how did you resolve this. Thanks. |
