Thanks,

that is dead on at 26" tall and matches stock specs. with an et35 up front it should clear.

Pics don't lie! You'll just need some negative camber up front and possibly rolled rear fenders to prevent rubbing depending on your ride height.

The 19x8.5" ET35 EC-7 will clear your brakes and suspension no problem. We normally recommend 235/40 or 245/35 tires for a direct fit and ideal sidewall support, but for a street-only car 255/35-19 should work just fine. There may be slight rubbing with that size depending on the tire brand and compound, but at stock height it should be very minimal.

Would the 19x9 work?

And is there any good reason to go 19x9 over 19x8.5?

Would 245/40r19 work? Playing on willtheyfit.com there appears to be no difference between that setup and the stock 245/45r18 setup, and a twitch more sidewall on the 19’s would be good.

Or would you recommend an 18 setup?

These are good questions, and we've documented most of them in our F3x fitment guide here: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide

The 19x9" ET28 ARC-8 or 19x9" ET30 SM-10 wheels could work but would require narrower tires and/or front negative camber as seen in the photos of the red car above. Aside from that, we do not currently produce any other 19x9" wheels that would fit.

The 245/40-19 is indeed nearly identical in diameter to the 245/45-18, and would work well. The extra sidewall would help a bit with ride quality too if you drive on rough roads.

We do typically recommend 18" setups, unless the looks of 19" wheels are preferred. 18s are lighter and less expensive, making them a better choice for performance.

I'm not a red exterior color kind of guy (I do like red interiors though), but your setup looks clean, mean, and purposeful! Well done man!

I was leaning towards 19's but all the positives of 18's sound good too. How about tires are 19's generally more expensive too? What size tires are recommended for the 18" staggered? 245/40/18 and 265/35/18? 8.5 ft 9.5 rear?

Nice and low. Do the bump stops need to be trimmed for added travel when your that low?

Thanks for the post! This car is on BC coilovers which should have their own shorter bump stops to accommodate lower heights.

We cannot get enough of this dual duty F31 M sport!

What do you all think about taking the daily to the track for some hot-lapping?

I have not come across any. Best bet is direct through apex. from a previous purchase there will be additional duties on delivery to factor in.

Yes! Although you'll want to have a drop to give some natural camber with the aggressive offsets, and also be careful with tire selection to minimize rubbing.

If you go with 19x9.5 +33 Rear and 19x8.5 +35 Front it should be pretty easy since rear camber can be adjusted easily stock.

I'm getting 19x9.5 +33 / 19x8.5 +20 delivered Wednesday and gonna try the stock tire sizes (225/40 F 255/35 R) for a very mild stretch + meaty setup lowered on Dinan springs. I'll report back :-)

I got my ARC-8's put on yesterday + an alignment (never got one after springs). I'm loving the aggressive OEM+ look

Front: 19x8.5 +20 with 225/40/19
Rear: 19x9.5 +33 with 255/35/19

No rubbing/fender rolling necessary, no additional camber necessary, think I was about -1 in rear and -.5 up front on alignment. Lowered on Dinan Springs.

Looking to run the 18" EC-7 on my 18 340i... will be doing ground control camber plates and Bilstein PSS10 at the same time...

Can I run 18x8.5 245/40 front and 18x9.5 275/35 rear without fender roll?

I'd like to be running -2° camber out back and at least -1° up front.

I'm running 19x8.5 235/40 and 19x9.5 265/35 with no issues now (on Dinan springs, stock alignment).

Is there a downside to keeping 265/35 out back if I went with the 18x9.5" EC-7??

Thanks!!

I'm doing the same thing from 19 to 18 and have your setup also 19x8.5 235/40 and 19x9.5 265/35 which is 26.3" diameter. Going to 265/35/18 will drop down to 25.3" diameter and 275/35/18 to 25.6"
My option so far is EC-7 18x9 et31 245/45 or 255/40 26",26.7" diameter & 18x9.5 et43 275/40 26.7" diameter
No sure which one is worst smaller or taller over all diameter.
