New Wheels and Tires for the F30...
The first of several mods are now complete. I like the wheels on this a lot. will look even better with the drop thats coming up!
Hope you like the (mediocre) pictures! Mason Edited to add: The wheel gap looks much worse in the pictures due to the turned wheel. Its nowhere near this bad!

After reading through all the other threads, I decided (since I am lowering it) to run a square set up.
19x8.5 ET35's all the way around. Ventus V12 245/35-19. This tire size is only 0.8% difference than the stock. It's the closest I could find that would 100% not rub upon dropping! Hope this helps those out there who are considering! I rolled the dice a little, but it worked out great! No rubbing, should be able to drop the Sport model AT LEAST 1" if not more! Mason

In theory you can run 19x9.5 et45, BUT the tricky thing becomes tires. Because then you have to run like a 265/35 19 (A RARE TIRE SIZE ONLY A FEW PLACES MAKE), OR 275/35 19 which is too wide for my tastes when you lower.
Certain tire brands sidewalls are 'beefier' for lack of a better word and will rub. Not all the time, but sometimes (bumps, 4 people in the car, etc). Since this car is my wife's DD, I wanted to ensure 100% no rubbing, ever. She allows me to play as long as it doesn't inconvenience her! :P While rubbing may not be a big deal for some, she would freak out if she heard it when 4 of her friends were in the car! So, the square setup made more sense for me.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I went back and forth on wheels and colors. I like black wheels but I don't have any brake upgrades planned and I think black makes the rotor size very noticeable. I may at some point go bronze, but for the time being these like very nice IMHO. Especially at the price point!

hey mason or others, How is the ride on the 35 side wall...is it rough, do you really feel all the peddles and rocks on the road?...how are the potholes?.....i want to change the rims but i dont really want to lose the nice ride.....what do you think about 235/40/19 size. A 40 side wall should be a more conformtable ride.
Also side note is summer tires sidewalls of 35 the same as all season tires sidewall of 35? thanks in advance |

I would like to see a car with 19x9 front and 19x10 or 10.5 rear. Just do some fender rolling and perhaps pulling!
