aftermarket ambient lights f31 idrive issue

Hi there everyone.
I bought aftermarket door ambient lights on aliexpress.
Finally passed the lights to my friend to go on the car. We got an strange issue ,I wonder if anyone had similar problem.
When we change the lights through idrive settings to comfort mode lights suppose to go to orange but they go blue and when we change it to sports mode it goes orange, I could have easily keep it like that but it looks so weirdly with the center console after market ambient light as it is working as it should. Orange on the comfort, blue on the sports. What are we doing wrong can anyone help.
Thank you

You got a picture of what they look like? One will be the negative then a live to feed the orange or blue so need to somehow swap them around

Are the door lights and radio trim from 2 different kits or the same kit? All of the 3 pin plugs have a negative and a positive for each of the 2 colors so I don't believe they will work reversed. If they're from 2 different kits, the orange and blue LEDs are manufactured swapped by design. So on the doors it is set up to be sport is blue and classic is orange and the radio trim is set up to be sport is orange and classic is blue. If this is the case there's not much you can do other than making sure you get both from the same kit.

Edit: clarified a sentence

Yeh they're actually from different sellers. I bought the first one few months ago and put it on all worked fine, classic is orange and sport is blue. But the one installed on the doors doing the opposite.
There are 2 plugs one with 2 pins the other one with 3 pins.

Yeah on the 3 pin connector 1 is negative and there's 2 pins that are positive or for each color just not sure which is which.

The best advice I can give since the doors are harder to replace contact the vendor you purchased your door lighting kit from and see if they offer a radio trim. If they do the colors should match but I would mention which color is which classic/sport for your doors so the vendor can verify their radio trim is the same.

If the door lighting vendor doesn't carry a radio trim, you may have to buy a whole new kit with both. Or contact other radio trim vendors and ask them how their colors are configured classic/sport before purchasing.

Or remove the radio trim and swap the wiring over on that so it's reversed

Indeed that would work. Repin the 3 pin connectors going to each of the 2 LED modules and swap the positive wires. Good call.

Ahh yeah even easier, just do the swapping on the cable that plugs into the dash.

I took it to my mate who is a mechanic, was embarrassed to waste his time with something silly like that but after few playing around he told me he swapped the connections and it worked.
To be honest I didn't even asked him the details.
Not very helpful I know but at least all sorted, appreciated for the responses here.
