M Badge Thoughts
I'm contemplating putting this really nice German m badge on my trunk. My car has 437 machines wheels already and a front m3 style front bumper. It won't say "m3" just the m with the flag colors. I mean my car does have a m sport rear bumper and I am German on both sides. My parents were born in Bad Tölz Wolfratshausen. Lol

If you already have the fake bumpers and fake wheels, you might as well go all out right?

If it's not an M car then you have no business putting it on.

I hope you didn't expect people to support ///M-badging a non-M car...

Why do you need approval from an online community of strangers who will never see your car IRL? Do it if you want.

Personally, I never added any M badges to any of my F30's, but European non-M cars with the M Sport packages have the M badge. But that's in Europe. People here in the US will know that you added that badge for the sake of vanity. If that doesn't bother you, go for it!

I guess you did not bother to read any of the other numerous threads on this idea??
Regardless, do what you want. If it convinces 1 person that you have a real M car, then it's worth it, right? The rest of us just ignore that fakery. Why ask, who cares?

If that was for aesthetics, they failed. It looks messy and misplaced. Complete debadge looks better. If anyone is going to add an M badge on the trunk, it has to be either re-justified with the "328i" or JUST the M badge. Not only that, but the M is hilariously bigger than the 328i. What a mess! I would be embarrassed to drive that car. Here, ebay has one that at least doesn't look like a ransom note:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-HIGH-QU...-/332844204215 Here's what it's supposed to look like, see how it's more right justified?

He's basically looking for affirmation for a decision he has already made. It's almost pointless to fight it. I've been in the car enthusiast scene for over 15 years. It's better to guide them to make less horrible decisions.

Man this has been discussed so much...let's face it OP, you have a half and half split here. People who don't give a damn what you do and people who think putting a badge that doesn't belong is just plain wrong and doing a disservice to everyone who drives a BMW. If you were expecting positive feedback, you're going to be sorely mistaken. If it makes you happy do it but coming to the forums with this you're not going to hear positive things

It's an interesting phenomena. With an M badge, the OP will get a share of eyerolls or admiration, but he/she has to take the good with the bad. On the other hand, if he/she merely debadges, they will only get admiration. This is why I never did it. Debadging is not only easier, but cheaper and better looking with none of the eyerolls associated with the M Badge. It all depends on the level of shame the OP is willing to put up with.

I usually laugh at ///M badged cars that are not M cars, but that's just me.
