Never too soon to think winter I suppose! I'm wondering if the car will take 17" wheels... The 320 are on 17's no? If the brakes are the same size then there ought to be no issue.

hey guys i see that you are ordering the winter tires only, are you planning to put them on your current rims or you have another set of rims? i've never bought winter tires before and never drove a RWD car before, so winter tires are a must. but dont know where to start??

Also I would get as narrow a size as practical. All my cars have winter rims/tire setups and the 135i has rfts that performed well (although painfully expensive @ $2500 for a set).

yeah definitely try to have separate rims for the winter set. Like the previous poster said it out weighs reinstalling charges.

I always check with Tires23 in Mississauga too, they sell for decent prices and don't charge for installation in most cases.

Quick legal / technical question as i was thinking about ordering a set of winter wheels and tires (from Tirerack). Is there a legal requirement to spend additional $400 on a compatible Tire Pressure Monitoring System for each wheel - or is this simply an optional idea if the owner of a car wants the functionality? The TireRack website implies that it is a legal requirement, but wanted to check here
Thanks very much |

Also for 335i owners I thought that there was an additional limitation due to brake size? Think I remember reading that somewhere.
I'm looking at a smaller narrower tire for winter too. |
