Miles you have on your F36/N20?

Just curious.. was debating getting a 2016 CPO 428i GC with 22k miles which I believe has the N20 engine but a F36. I would drive this to past 150k miles if it permits me. How many miles do you guys have on your N20 engine?

Our 428i GC has almost 28K miles. It's a 2016 model purchased in Dec 2015. Only problem has been the A/C compressor high pressure sensor malfunctioning resulting in a "drivetrain" alert. There was also an occasional rattle in the rear speaker, turned out to be a loose screw. Other than that, car has been a joy to drive.

Very helpful, thank you!

Do you plan on keeping close to 150k?

No matter what BMW you have, if it is 4 cylinder before 2018. Its N20/26. So for your question there are lots of thread like this one

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1512602

So for your question on getting the 2016 F36 with 22k miles.... I say get it for the right price. I assume it's a good deal.. you didn't put a selling price

I usually keep my cars, on average, about 7 years, except for my 2001 X5 which I use essentially as a “utility vehicle”. It only has about 76K miles. I prefer not to keep the other cars beyond 100K miles which is why I typically get a new car every 7 years or so.

It's on the high side but that depends on the package that is on the car. But still a good deal if you can get that $ 26.5k out the door.

My 428i just reached 22000 miles last week. this is my 4th BMW and I never kept any over 70,000 miles. Just to avoid nightmares and higher mileage than that is getting too difficult to sell.

Currently about 28K on my 2015 428GC. Mine isn't a good baseline as the engine ground itself up at 26K and required a replacement from BMW. I have no intentions of keeping it anywhere near 150K miles lol. (Which is a shame as it hasn't any any issues since day 1 other than the catastrophic engine failure )....

For the 4 series was 2018 with B48, I think 2017 for the 3 series. I over estimate because I'm generalizing.
