Man, i really appreciate your opinion. making my decisions A LOT easier. If i do go coils setup. I'm most likely just going to adjust it twice maybe 3 times a year. so easy access on adjustment shouldn't be too much of a reason for me. yeah that stock setup from factory just gives bmw a reason to go back and get more money from us. thanks for the response man.

Be prepared for lots of wheel alignments! Rule of thumb is to have one done every time ride height is changed.

This. If you're adjusting height 3x a year you'll need 3 accompanying alignments.

The adjustment knobs I mentioned on the Bilsteins are for dampening/rebound adjustment. Bilstein knobs change both simultaneously, Kw v2/3 is the same (rears require removal of the shock from the car), and both offerings of Clubsport give you separate adjustments for both rebound and dampening. Clubsports are for hard core racing and they're $$$$.

Installed mine back in Feb. Dec 2nd today and couldn't be more pleased with the BC items. Put almost 20k miles during this period and haven't suffered any fading or suspension quality degradation. Only time it scrapes the tires in during my morning commute with 5 not little kids inside and don't want to crawl over train tracks. etc. not a fault of the coilovers, just my preference and driving as the mood strikes.
They are also holding their appearance very well.

I think he means adjusting the damper resistance 2-3 times a year, not the ride height.

what's a recommended lube or whatever for the threads to adjust height? asking because i want to prevent it from seizing and not able to adjust later down the road.

Boeshield T9. Get it on Amazon, or online. It's a sprayable parrafin that dries to a film. I've used it on several coilovers through several NE winters with salt.

Update on my CATuned coilovers. I've been driving on them since June 2018, I did soften them a bit, from 20/30 to 15/30 for the winter. Still really quiet. My son's 2014 EVO coilovers make a hell of a lot of noise even with everything tight so I'm really happy with my CATuned coilovers compared to his.

This is where I'm at with my summer wheels/tires, although I have my winter wheels/tires on now.

I used this as well, I raised my car a bit for winter and had no issues. T9 works great!

Just want performance right now don't care for looks at the moment. Also will these help with the pitch of the car? Speeding up and braking.

Dampers control the rate of weight shift, so you should notice a difference with brake dive and squat, and control that a bit since the damping is adjustable.

I installed these along with a rear sway bar (front will be installed in the next few weeks), rear subframe bushing inserts and rear upper adjustable camber bars.

The installation was pretty easy, I used a lift since I have access to one. After install I dropped it and drove it then measured and put it back on the lift to make the proper adjustments. I have no noise coming from the coilovers so far which is nice. I am set at 20 on the dampening so I set it pretty stiff. handling is night and day from what it was.

For me it was a great decision to go with the CATuned vs the KW v3 from a price standpoint. Time will tell how it progresses but so far so good!
Update 2 years later? Looking to get come coilovers for a 2014 335xi I just bought but don't want to spend an arm and a leg
