Arrived in Las Vegas Saturday evening for a weeks conference. All the talk was of the attacks in France and at the same time the LV marathon was planned for Sunday and given the Friday night and Boston etc, how would it be affected.

I can't say if security was increased or not, but in the sections we saw, the crowds were there in droves encouraging the runners on. Lots of tricolerres and messages of support over the tannoy system.

It may be a different world here five thousand miles away but freedom of choice shows itself in many different ways.

A marathon in Vegas, ouch, water station every mile please! Was the for part od the honeymoon and at mid day felt like an ant scampering from building to building for air con cover from the sun!

Admittedly I don't actually care for Vegas, avoid it like the plague.

I was under the impression ex-cons couldn't get into the USA?
