I'll be ordering the M-Performance aerodynamic kit and have it installed soon after I take delivery of the car. This includes the front splitter, rear diffuser & spoiler, side sills, and black kidney grills. I'll also be ordering the the M-Performance mats, purely because I like the look of these!

I was able to get an exceptional deal with a particular Watfordian sales representative (whom I, and others, highly recommend). Delivery is being pushed back slightly because of all of the individual options I have selected but I'm hoping to get the car by late September or early October.

I'll post any updates for anyone who is interested in this thread.

And now the wait begins...

Your delivery is pushed back, because he's focusing on mine

Will be very interested to hear what this brand new six cylinder is like.

Excellent choice.

Take the VSS off - most of the journos hate it!

Otherwise it looks a superb spec. Very jealous!! I particularly wish mine had the leather dash.

I think the VSS will be fine. I did a lot of reading and it seems like the journos aren't really with it. I guess it's a gamble but I'll let you know how it works out! Our US counterparts have the VSS on the LCI and have no issues with it.

Thanks. High quality of interior was a must for me as that's where I will be spending my time when I drive the thing.

Haha. He was excellent. I'm glad you all recommended him to me. He has pulled out all the stops and has gone far beyond any salesperson I have previously met.

In contrast the local dealer was telling me how I would be lucky to even get a small discount on the car and the new LCI will be sold at the recommended price. I told him I can use a online broker to get a good deal so he should be at least willing to match that. Local salesperson was still staking his claim to not reducing the price saying that a BMW dealer would not reduce the price and they operate differently from any brokers. I then mentioned that a dealer (Mr Watford) is willing to beat the online broker by a good margin... Suddenly he changed his tune and was willing to match the quote. But to be honest I wouldn't go with him after that because he was originally trying to sell me at sticker price with no negotiation. I'm not giving my money to someone who isn't going to play ball.

Excuse the essay!

Countdown has started. When is your expected delivery mate?

Congrats on the deal Look forward to seeing pics of the interior and the eventual exterior with the MP kit.

P.S. No MP exhaust? Value for money IMO. Especially for 5 years!

Very nice spec! I also have my 330d due end of September and I don't have any individual options so I'm not sure what that really means for you or I - similar delivery times yet you have been warned of a potential delay. My expected delivery is week 40 if that helps.

I envy your options list - I thought I had a lot of toys but you've put me to shame

I wanted the MP exhaust but unfortunately there isn't one yet for the 340i... Things may change in the next few weeks. Who knows!

The original delivery date was actually earlier than September end. So it's been pushed out a few weeks. I expect early Oct/late Sept. Delivery week 43 for me so looks like I'll get mine a little after you...

Will be a cracking car!

I agree that I'd leave VSS on and ignore the journo's. They said they didnt like the pre-LCI VSS either and I think its great. What'da they know!

Does appear to be anomalies with the latest reviews with VSS fitted. Not sure all the journo's get what it does and how it works, let alone cope with getting in cars with and without it (one after the other) and adjust their mind-set.

IMO, users are the best judges with something like VSS.

But that is the same for choosing models, or we'd all be in 320d ED models, on recommendation of the mags.

I'd be in a F11 520d SE if I listened to the motor mag' opinions, the 535i doesn't get a look in in the reviews. Typically viewed as an irrelevant model for the UK and marked down as a result.

"Pinch of salt" comes to mind.

VSS is brilliant, makes a car feel much more agile due to the rack quickening.. Journo's opinion worth as much as chocolate T pot.
