i had my mind set on either

Yokohama V105
Hankook S1 Evo2
Bridgestone Potenza S001

Not used the vredstein ultrac vorti, but have used the wintrac extreme for last 5 years through winter. Think they are great tyres.

Know some Dutch people who swear by the brand.

Appreciate this doesn't really help you. But brand is strong.

Been very happy with my Vredestein Ultrac Vorti.
Had them on all winter without any issues.
No extra road noise & I haven't put it through a hedge backwards yet

The reviews for the Hankooks do look really good considering how cheap they are! Worth a try I'd say.

I've had the hankooks on 20" 405m's. No complaints here.
Extremely good value.
Although I had 255/30/20 on the rears

You're tempting to get them next time, as I go through tyres so quick with the mileage I do!

Yeah made sense really. I don't do a lot of miles but want decent tyres as i go to Germany 4/5 times a year.
I won't use the performance of say MP4s 95% of the year.

Got my hankooks rears from oponeo for £149 each delivered. So you should be able to better than £630 unless that price was with fitting

A little off topic (so apologies for that!) but at the weekend I checked the remaining tread on my tyres (conventional Goodyear AS2's which were fitted as a set to replace the original Bridgestone run-flats about 12k miles ago). Have to say I was very pleasantly surprised to find they were still at 6mm all round; suggests I should get at least 30k miles from the set which I think is pretty reasonable considering the power and torque they're handling.

I admit I'm no boy racer throwing it round every corner but I do make decent progress when the opportunity arises and my mileage certainly isn't all straight up and down motorways; perhaps an upside with X-Drive is it's kind on tyres?!

Im still rolling on my bad boy factory default Pirelli P Zero RFT.

First idea was to replace them the day I bought the car but still have them on a year later. Also, they were fine in through the whole winter.

Still might change them as they are quite harsh on bumps etc but man theyre an improvement over them damn Bridgestone Potenza things.

Wish I had the money to just spunk on PS4s though to be honest.

I did the same, leaving my p zero's on for nearly 2 years as really didn't find them too bad considering the 20's

After finding an egg on one wall i bit the bullet with mpss all round and really can't believe the difference they've made. Definitely recommend the switch to non rft!

You may also want to purchase a set of these so you are not having to strip down your original wheels.

i could save £50 and a head ache if i had standard OEM size tyres but i dont want to much stretch

I've just got down to around a 3mm limit on my Bridgstones with ~35k on them, can't really grumble and that, albeit that they are not rated for performance, they've held up well.
