Vibration/Creaking from Passenger Door Trim - '15 435i

I spend about 2 hours in the car each day commuting. There's a creak coming from somewhere on the passenger door that's about to send me over the edge. I can reach over and press in on various parts of the door and it subsides, for a bit. I haven't definitively figured out where it's coming from but it think its low on the door, if I had to guess.

Any tips for locating specific fasteners or other places to look for/tighten?

Thanks all,

-Z

There's only 2 screws (Torx 25) on that door, under the door pull trim. The rest of the door is held by clips. I would say start by pulling/pushing on the door handle to see if you can detect if the door card is loose.

Otherwise you might want to pull the door card off and inspect to see maybe one of the clips is broken or missing.

There are several YouTube videos on how to remove the door card.

The door lock pulls where noisy on my 428i and I fixed it using Velcro to tighten the trim (circular) where the lock pull comes up.

Thanks for the tip.

I got about a foot of snow in NC today and have been told not to come to work tomorrow. Looks like we're taking apart the passenger door tomorrow!

I'll let you know what I discover.

This is the best YouTube video on how to remove the door panels (it goes into a lot more as he's showing how to add soft-close doors, however, watch from about 4:30 into it).

You *will* need some soft interior trim tools and be very careful with the door pull trim (the first thing you remove). They are difficult to remove but also pretty tough pieces; but can crack them and they are not cheap (about $125 list price).
