Cool, totally went over my head, but my car already has the extended cluster.
One more question, you said check my existing cluster. What should i be looking for, i know its HUD connector, but how does it look? Is it the HSD wire. I can pull off my cluster and give it a quick check, before i buy all these items in my cart off ebay.

Cant find a reasonably priced HUD, if someone finds one, pm me or reply on here, and ill gladly purchase it, and do the diy, dont mind cutting things up lol.

Also another question, all-every year HUD modules should be compatible correct? There isnt any funny business, like bmw updating the their hud modules for the 14's?

Do you know if it is possible to not only cut a hole for the HUD, but also for the center speaker?

I bought a 6wa cluster with hud, what if I retrofitted hud but didn't change windshield, would it totally not work at all? Sorry if this is such a dumb question but if I have to change my windshield then this is a non starter unless a rock hits me n then I have to change anyway. 2014 f30 idk if windshield I have would work. Anyone?

There are two main reflexions. One while entering the glass, and one while leaving.

It's actually caused by the 2 layer laminated glass, you get a reflection off each layer. An aftermarket HUD reflector will fix that, it has a mirror finish so that you only see the reflection off it and not the glass behind it.
