PS2+meth takes F20/22 to high 6s to 7s. Nothing else needed. I have a local Copenhagen buddy (M135i) does that just at 22psi. That car is incredible fast because it's lighter than many think.

Tuned a stock turbo FBO + meth M2, 430whp, 20psi taper to 18, high 8s in 100-200. This is our 'abuse car' we used to find M2 stock turbo limit.

Did one PS2 M2 on pump gas, STG2 OTS 400whp. Turn on meth and use Jb4 running 20psi, a high 7s car. Didn't dyno that setup, I'm sure it'd show 470+.

And countless middle 7s S55 car with just a BM3 OTS and 9.5s FBO M2 flashed.

My experience is that when you have octane limit, easy way is either to have ethanol (which require bigger pump or PI) or to install meth. But meth is much more effective because it's cooling IAT and supporting fueling as well.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish pump upgrade improves power on pump gas. I'd pay double, triple money XDI/TTFS ask. I even tell Halim that I want to burn 2k just to give a try, knowing it's not helpful in my case. He advised against my proposal.

Man this is commercial and someone has a dog in this business. I'm a car enthusiast and I speak with what I know. That's all.
I've seen your posts, I know you don't want to hear the pump works.

You are entitled to your opinion, and you obviously have a lot of experience, but it also seems your experience is making you put your head in the sand, and not willing to except some of the results people are getting on 93 with this pump.

Again, I appreciate your opinion, I too have many years modifying and tuning (albeit on a very amateur level and nothing like some of the geniuses can do) but I'm also very open minded.

If I see hard facts something is working, even if it's against my thought process, and my initial thoughts are it's bs, I am humble enough to accept I maybe wrong.

Good luck with your future efforts, and we will just agree to differ.

@Raymondo1234 you could be right except that I really wish pump works with pump gas, so that my personal car can improve. Good luck man, let's see.

@seanWRT, so your saying the XDI upgraded fuel pump won't allow you to run pump gas??!??

According to OP he's hitting and holding 20-21psi with the just the upgraded HPFP!

I recently upgraded to PS2 and using MHD for my tuning with stock fueling. Tried to use the OTS map for PS2 but my stock HPFP kept dropping rail pressure due to the ethanol content in my area for 93 octane. After some map revisions my car runs much quicker and the rail pressure doesn't fall on its face, although it's a sacrifice in boost curve which really sucks!! But like OP, I also don't want to run meth or ethanol blends so once price drops for the XDI HPFP I'll be grabbing one and turning up the boost!!

Munchi, I know this sounds stupid, but I run the BEF right now and I'm curious about trying the MHD OTS map for the PS2. Is it located in the app because I can't find it for the life of me. Is it separate in the app store? When the OTS map didn't work for you, did you have someone customize it down a little? I'm running 15PSI right now and HPFP seems happy. I think market price and comp will drive the price down in the next few months. Just have to wait.

I don't think the OTS map is available for BEF but I'm not sure and yes it's located in the app. Also, are PWG or EWG? Yes the map was revised by pureboost, they do all the OTS maps for MHD. The PS2 OTS map targets about 17psi but mine is dialed down to 15psi and now adding more timing to squeeze some more boost but might run a little leaner. Still testing maps to optimize my fueling and stock hpfp.

Okay thanks Munchi. Nope I know I'd have to go full flash. I'll look for it. I'm PWG

Yeah Im guessing you'd have to go full flash to be able to use the PS2 OTS maps but it's only available for EWG vehicles.

Might want to send them a email to confirm they have a PWG OTS map for PS2 before purchasing

Forgive me, just trying to learn here...

It looks to me that load req is set at a level that cannot be achieved unless overboost is presented. Why is that? I have been looking at a few OTS logs also - same thing.

The stock map (sort of) meet target - so is this not what we would want from a good tune?

Raymondo log is just one more example of the tuning approach I explained to you last week.

No such thing as definitive good or bad. There're tradeoffs, I thought I explained crystal clear...

Yes, you explained your side of it. Setting load request to what ever and then use a boost ceiling instead of proper load control (the way I understand it). But with this log/tune neither load nor boost target is met. Not to the same degree as on the stock map anyway...?

Sorry Raymondo - I'll open another post around this subject.

I have no side of it, my approach is different. My map manipulates load with actual boost control, rather than brutally capping it.

Just to avoid more confusion - This is MHD channels you're seeing with Raymondo log, at least so it appears. It uses different terminologies than BM3. Namely, the load req in MHD means differently than in BM3. BM3 has a different name for the same thing.

The log of Raymondo is fundamentally the same as yours, just a more polished one. That EWG is much easier to get run right than PWG is why.

I have maps like yours and Raymondo's and they worked more than just fine. But at the boost level (18+ across) I want my car run, I'd fine tune the boost/load rather than use a cap to make target flat across. The latest logs I sent you, the boost curve is otherworldly smooth and ignition always extremely clean for pump gas. So much time spent.

Meeting the boost target or not is a matter of pre and post boost control. It's a lower level and a more direct parameter to control. Intentional overshoot (post throttle, not pre boost) actually requires more skill. Underboost is safe and easy.

Let's stop from here. For a topic like this, you'd better PM specific persons than open a new thread.

So who is going to be the first to create a DIY installation video? I've looked at the diagram at realoem and at the replacement procedure at newtis.info but still have a few questions about this installation.

My hope is to do a full DIY on this, and I hope soon.

pump should be pretty explanatory, however there is a nice video showing intake manifold removal by kies motorsports. This should get most of us 95% of the way.
