Same caution here. Which is annoying as spending £200 on Amazon shit every weekend was one of my favourite hobbies!

Takeaway still ok though as we've decided if we go bankrupt it'll be for more than £33.60

Swingball, 6x4 goal, tin can knockdown, croquet, nest hub max, vegepod, lots of perfectdraft, lots of wine, Disney+, new double oven!

Our menorca holiday in May refund should cover a bit of it!

Home multi gym
Alot of wine which oddly keeps disappearing..
New bike for my son
Few bits of amazon for the kids
Trying to save a bit now for new doors and should then get a free pass for a new TV and sound bar.

Im limiting outgoings as the long term impact of this is going to be huge. I have bought few bits to finish off ongoing project. Oh, and hand cream.....my hands look like a 90 year old with eczema!

So far:

Lots of wine (they need to push the daily briefing back to 7 or 8)
A toilet seat (finally fixing the broken one so needed)
An battery air pump (100% not needed but looked cool)

For my son:
A trampoline
A football net and new football
Garden tennis set
Lego

We completely did the house before Christmas so that helps. I feel a new TV and a games console with some more Sonos might be on the cards but I will wait for a month or so and see where we are in this chapter of life..

Toilet roll
Eggs
A full successful shop, now i can hunker down for a week

Thank you Waitrose, Keynsham. The 45 minute queue in the cold was worth it. Civilised shopping experience and they are doing everything they can to keep things safe.

The 1 year old labrador just decided it was ok to rip up his bed yesterday evening and pull the stuffing out everywhere.

So onto Amazon this morning to order the little sod a new bed.

This morning I was delighted to take delivery of 2 not inexpensive, custom-fit bootliners, one for a 540i Touring and one for a Jaguar F-Pace. Neither of which we will be taking delivery of for the foreseeable future. Or would be likely to drive even if they had been delivered

So far:

Some gym equipment, not too much, just some adjustable dumbells and a couple of kettle bells.

Brake discs for the 340i, and I'll have a go at them myself in coming weeks, so bought some axle stands and a couple of tools.

A cheapo Huawei tablet and THOR OBD dongle, so I can try the XHP transmission flash on the the 340i... though will leave that till when lockdown end is in sight.

Just about to order some Gyeon CanCoat to top up the 340i, and some GTechniq EXO for the M4 top up.

I've unbought road tax for the M4 and SORNed it. Pumped the tyres up to 3bar and put the charger on it.

I certainly hope so. She's a baby-faced terrorist at the moment. We're all covered in scratches and bite marks!

Given the road tax is at most £45 a month isnt it better to drive it once a month to keep it in good mechanical condition rather than save £45 and not use it?

Last of the big spenders......a CTEK start/stop battery charger for our two cars, they're going to need it before they eventually get driven again!

Who knows, but not sure 3 months or so of not getting used will do too much harm, and thats £120 saved. Plenty of cars get parked up over winter for a few months without any issues. I will bring it out of the garage every so often as I've got some detailing plans, and will let the engine run for a while once it's been started. That will also move the point on the tyres where it's sitting too.

The 330e is the ideal car us to use for the supermarket trips, so not even sure the 340i will get used much either.

After going through 4 beds, starting expensive and getting progressively cheaper, I gave up with dog beds. They just sleep on the floor now!

Yeah agree with this, dogs will sleep pretty much any place...my old dog ignored his bed and would sleep across the bottom of the stairs waiting for us to come down each morning..

What brand of boot liner? I've got the LR one for the Disco, but wouldn't mind an alternative.

Any tips for a novice using eqi trading for bargains due to what's going on for a long term investment?

No worries, here you go:

https://www.bootliners-uk.com/bl/land-rover/discovery

I can't yet vouch for them in practice - not even unpacked them yet. However I researched a fair few and these seemed well reviewed, 4.5-star Trustpilot score, etc.. There is a lot of cheaper crap out there. These seemed a fair price (£100-£150 depending on how you spec them). Very configurable in terms of whether you want a bumper flap, rear seat split/fold, extending section for when the seats are down, etc.

Happy to give you a proper review once I can use them in anger - might be a while...
