One can only hope he makes it! Its only a matter of time before a world leader is taken by this virus. So many celebrities have passed away already.

One might hope that it's an abundance of caution but he is obviously quite poorly so he's in the best possible place.

I think questions will be asked as to why it has been allowed to go this far especially as he is our Prime Minister but I suppose the protocols have been carried out and the stages to were help is required have been followed lets hope for a recovery.

Allowed by who? Not sure anyone has the power to control this.

Just continues to highlight how bad this virus is.

My brother works in ICU and operating theatres. He just keeps reminding me and the family to stay isolated and keep safe. He is dealing with this on a daily basis.

Likewise - my brother has had his usual ward cleared and re-designated as a Covid ward and has been thrown in at the deep end to deal with it, depsite not having a background in respiratory medicine. He's ideal if you break a leg though!

His warnings, not only to me and my family, but my parents as well for the last 3 weeks or so have been constant - don't go out unless absolutely necessary

As for Boris

It's fine to disagree with his politics, policies etc and debate accordingly. But the amount of attention seeking wet wipes out there that are actively wishing further ill health on him and even death is shocking. Says more about them than anyone else.

I hope he is ok and pulls through as quickly as possible. He is a fellow human being and there should be no if's or but's.

This is one person who doesn't deserve to be in the position she is in and thankfully the labour party have withdrawn the whip so she is still in work but only as an independent Some people are really sick

On a more positive note, it’s actually good that Boris hasn’t needed to go onto a ventilator and be sedated yet. This Gives him a much better chance of pulling through and leaving intensive care much more quickly.

She's the tip of the iceberg

Scottish Nationalism is rife with people who wish him the worst. Mainly because the SNP have spent more than a decade demonising the Tories in Scotland and their cult following aren't able to think for themselves

It's good news, he has to accept that he needs some proper rest and recuperation but he has every chance of a full recovery

We need him back at the helm but only when he's fit and well

Hopefully his experience will hit home as to how much of a treasured institution the NHS is and how undervalued the frontline workers (not only in the NHS) are.
