Would that be ok? The Motul is twice as much money, but when you factor in 5 quarts vs 5 liters and needing to buy another quart - as well as wanting to try out Ceratec, I think this would be a solid plan - but I'd like the opinion of someone wiser.

Thanks
300ml of what?
Also, avoid additives. Long story why, but simple answer:
1. You have all necessary additives in oil.
2. You never know how you messed up chemical composition of oil by adding additives.

300ML of Ceratec. I'm normally anti-additive, but had read quite a few people on here singing it's praises. The car doesn't even have 30k miles, so I can't imagine it *needs* anything anyway.

Not sure which direction I'm going, but it will either be Motul or the Pennzoil Euro L.

I would avoid it. Very little reason to change the chemistry of a fully formulated oil for at best a marginal benefit.

Sounds good. I run Warren synthetic in my other vehicles, normally SuperTech Synthetic High Mileage, AmazonBasics or Kirkland (costco), as well as Mobil 1 or others when on sale. Is mixing 300ml of one of these in with the Motul going to be an issue?

Ii would mix synthetic one. Generally, I avoid mixing oils from teo different oil blenders. Sometimes base stocks don't interact well. API requires that oil can be mixed, so you shouldn't have an issue.

Nah...not an issue.

Garage List
2016 BMW 320i  [7.87]
2014 BMW 328i  [6.83]
Just tossed in a jug of this for my 70k mile change. Newly approved by BMW. Prior to this… I had been using Castrol EDGE SAE 0W40 (Euro) every 5k.

Was kinda pricey at $37.44 out the door from Advance.

The 0W40 is basically $25 in round numbers from Walmart but not officially approved.

0W40 is generally step up from 5W40.
But, bcs. BMW new requirements around oxidation, it eliminated some of the best oils for OCI increase.
Still use it bcs. approved, but better choices available. I think Advance had Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W40 on sale for $33.
