235/40/19 & 265/35/19 Tire Brands
Aside from the Michelin Pilot 4S is there any other tire brand and model that everyone is using for 235/40/19 & 265/35/19 tire sizes? I'm looking at the Yokohama Advan Sport AS but other options seem quite limited in these sizes.

Not sure if you noticed this or not...
According to tirerack's site, the yokohama-advan-sport-as 235-40-19 tire has an overall diameter of 26.6" vs other tires in this size is 26.4". Not sure if tirerack's website is accurate... But this may throw off the difference calculations if you are comparing the front tires to the rear tires if you have an Xdrive. |

OP, I'd recommend the Continental ExtremeContact Sport. They'll have better treadwear than the Michleins and performance is comparable, based on what feedback I've gotten from customers--all for a couple hundred $$$ less. If she's not the spirited driving type, maybe consider an all season tire. If she can run the stock 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 specs, the ExtremeContact DWS 06 will last a good while and performs very well in all conditions.

Wheel specs are 19x8.5 ET35 (front) and 19x9.5 ET40 (rear) so not sure if the stock 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 size would create a stretch.
I see that the overall diameters on the Yoko Advan Sport AS is 26.6 (F) 26.4 (R) with a treadwear of 440. The Conti ExtremeContact Sport is 26.4 (F) 26.3 (R) with a treadwear of 340. Not sure if the additional tread life of the Yoko's is worth it. But i guess general consensus is that options are limited in these sizes. |
