Hey, i've got a big problem, my device brightness is really low. In settings it's on 100%. When i switch to OEM the brightness is clear, but when i switch to Android back, it's dark.
I've checked the wires, but they look good. I don't have any idea anymore, could someone please help me. Thank you

I have an inconvenience because of the slow boot speed on the Android HU (about 1 minute after ignition).
How can I start booting in case of ACC ON instead of ignition on for quick preparation of the Android HU?
Is it possible to simply find the 12V power line of the Android HU and change it to ACC?

With car lights on, it's a little bit brighter. But still very dark..

When you swipe the screen down to get into quick settings, is your brightness on max?

There's no brightness, only the sun symbol with 3 stripes and a sound volume stripe. One week ago, everything worked fine. Then i startet the car and it showed me the first time "no signal" and everything was on reset. I downloaded the version from the forum and it worked fine, only brightness is broken. In settings it's on 100%

Might be worth doing a full reset. If your idrive screen brightness is fine, must be software related.

So having read the previous 60 pages of posts and going off in all kinds of directions can someone give an update summary on any issues this UGODE unit still has if any.

For instance where are they now with:
1. GPS no signal
2. iDrive knob control/selection
3. Audio clarity
4. Does the after-market rear camera display when reverse selected no matter if in OEM or Android screen?

I can only speak for myself but:
1. No issue whatsoever.
2. The knob works fine for selection of apps. Not much else.
3. I'm fortunate enough that I have the optical cable so my audio is very good.
4. Works instantly on OEM or android. Never been an issue.

I also have the optical cables but still struggle with poor quality. Have you done nothing else but adjust volume to get good quality? Ugode responded that I should increase oem navigation volume but don’t know if that’s possible as I don’t have navigation in my original setup.

1. Never had this issue, but it seems that other people in this forum have solved it
2. Works fine, until you are navigating in the pre-installed apps, this issue is mainly related to the carplay
3. Bluetooth audio sucks, impossible to use it because of the background noises it makes.. USB audio is as the original one, also CarPlay audio is good
4. Rear camera works both in OEM and Android

Tried to update MCU for the first time.
A message appeared "Please wait..." . I let it for 25 minutes and the message still there.
Then I had to go and powered everything off.
Is this normal? How long does it take to upgrade the mcu ???

I have the same issue! I've never been able to upda the MCU

Has anyone been able to connect via ADB to this unit?

I am trying to enable Secure Settings via AutoTools (Tasker plugin) and I can not get the head unit to connect. I have:

• Tried with both a Windows 10 PC and an OS X Macbook Pro, both loaded with "platform-tools"
• Enabled debug settings
• Tried with both MTP and PTP USB protocols
• Tried 3 different cables

Are there known ADB drivers for this unit available?

What's interesting is for my model X4(an some others too), it now has the following spec:

CPU: High performance 64bit Octa-core Cortex A53 RK PX5, main frequency 1.5GHz

When I asked Louie yesterday to confirm my model would be a PX5 his answer was:

"It is PX3 not PX5, we should amend it"

Even more interesting is this seller is claiming to be selling a PX6 Android 8.1

I've got a question for all CarPlay users..
Now that the way to set "back" as "select" button, are you satisfied?
Honestly I'm really happy about it, but it's just the first step, and there are still many things I would like to enhance to have a better experience..
When more people were intrested in the "selection issue" the solution came up after just a week..
Why don't we try to write down all the other CarPlay cons in order to find solutions alto for those?

From my side:
- I think the "back" button to select app is just an easy fix, maybe we can have something more (if back button is available, maybe with a MCU update also other buttons can be assigned)
- I would like to use the OEM microphone automatically (when I use the HU one nobody can hear me during calls)
- The steering wheel controls to change songs only work after opening/closing the bluetooth or music app (for short distances it really bothers me)
- It would be nice to remove the "error message" that pops up every time we first open the CarPlay

Hi Bosley, I totally agree with you but...

1) it depends on Louie
2) dont know but I think again it depends on Louie

If all owners of the ugode device gave a small amount e.g. 10usd for every serious fix, maybe Louie would do it. I am not sure about it, but I cannot think of anything else. The majority of these are issues that Louie has been informed 3 months ago.
