M140i B58 goes 11.5@121mph
Good night at the track tonight and first test of the new MHD 95/102 OTS map combined with xHP. Hoosier drag radials on the rear as this is a rear drive only with standard open diff.
It's getting pretty warm here in Brisbane Australia 30 degrees C when the gates opened and DA of 2417ft when I was in the staging lanes for the first run. I had three runs: 11.689@121.14mph with a 1.873 60ft (second gear launch) 11.701@121.31mph with a 1.920 60 ft (first gear launch, too much wheel spin) 11.519@121.94mph with a 1.773 60ft (second gear launch) DA had dropped to about 1674ft by the 3rd run. I used E30 blend fuel, only mechanical mods to the car - delete small front muffler and permanently opened the rear muffler flap and disconnected. Otherwise stock exhaust including downpipe with cat. I've got data logs and videos which I'll post up in the next couple of days. The logs looked really good. Here's a time slip of the best run

What does your car weigh? Those are insane numbers for OEM DP. My goal is to crack 11.40's on the stock turbo on MPS 4S. I'm thinking XDI fuel pump when it drops, along with a custom Jordan tune might show 121-122 traps.

I use the reported 1475 kg (3252 lbs) for car with fuel, plus driver/passenger weights for my calcs. I should run it over the scales some time. OEM DP seems to flow pretty good. The ET and MPH indicate about 470HP engine and 420HP at the wheels.
A M240i weights about 70kg (154lb) more?

My M140i is a 5 door, no sunroof, steptronic transmission.
In the owners handbook for Australia it says kerb weight, ready for road, with 75kg (165 lb) load and fuel tank at 90% 1550kg (3417 lbs) with no optional extras. I have some options and the fuel was less than 25% so I think the weight is about right.

Great times!

It probably weighs a little more than that. Mine is 1542kgs (3400lbs) with a full tank, no driver. Sunroof, manual, alcantara interior, all the standard LCI-1 options (heated power seats etc etc). Wheels are lighter than stock but tyres are probably heavier so I'd say that's a wash. |

Visited the local council weighbridge during my lunch break and looks like the car is about 20kg (44lbs) heavier than I thought.
Car weighed exactly 1600kg (3527 lbs) with me in it and 42 litres of fuel in the tank. At the track I only had about 10 litres of fuel in the tank, so less me and the extra fuel weight I calculate 1495 kg (3295 lbs) car weight for those runs.

Under 1500kgs is good for a modern BMW.
I wonder how much the sunroof weighs. I wouldn't have optioned one myself but I bought my car when it was already on the boat on the way here. |

According to BMW my 340i weighs 1615 kgs, I wonder how much it weighs in real life on the weightbridge.
Also I noticed you have the low octane settings option, any idea what that means ? as I have a similar option on my car S858A but mine says "low compression engine" Quote:

So the end result of 858 and S858A is the same, allow the use of lower octane fuel, strange from BMW why 2 options with the same purpose.
Did you try the 1/4 mile without the E30 blend? Quote:
