Sway Bars question

Hello everyone,,
Ill be tracking my car soon and in the process of stiffing up my suspension. So far i got BC racing coilovers installed but the still have alot of body roll. I was wondering if anyone installed aftermarket sway bars on their f30 328xi and noticed any difference or is it even worth upgrading ? I'm running run flats which i will be replacing wtih Michelin pilot sports.reverse image search email checker port checker

Run the car on track first to see if you feel the need to go stiffer. On street tires, your limitation won't be chassis stiffness but the oem alignment range.

A front way will prob help you but you'll loose a lot of independence for daily driving. An alternative is to run more camber in front which will be more helpful than sways imo.

Andino and I have aftermarket sways (he has just rear, and I have front and rear). They make a difference, but you also need to ensure that you do it in a balanced fashion. For example, I have the H&R front sway bar right now, and with the higher than OE spring rates I'm running I feel like it's too much bar. I don't like the reduced suspension independence, and I'm getting some understeer (car doesn't want to rotate as well). With the spring rates of most coilovers (which typically go really high in the front), you'll likely be in the same scenario.

The rear bar swap is more worth it, however, you once again have to be careful not to go too stiff or you'll lose traction. Both Andino and I notice our TC lights flickering more often on rough roads after going to a 17mm rear bar.

I enjoy reading comments from you guys because you understand that suspension has many components working together as a system. It's so important to understand that one change can effect something else in an undesirable way. If you don't understand your own goals and don't do your homework then you can easily end up chasing your tail trying to get your suspension acting the way that you want it to. Really enjoy this forum and how everyone is so willing to share their knowledge and experience!
