Oil temperature (gauge) vs. temp. in BimmerLink

Hi

My F36 (435d) has an oil temp. gauge. The middle is 100C.

I tried to look at my phone with BimmerLink (also confirmed the same with other apps).

No matter which "oil temp" sensor I select in BimmerLink the temerature rises much slower that on the gauge in the car.

Anyone else noticed the same?

The reason behind my question is "why". Is my oil temp not 100c as soon as the gauge in the display shows 100c? Or does it just "link" to another sensor than the sensors available through the ODB port

I've noticed the same thing. The oil temp never goes above 90*C on bimmer link while the car gauge says 100*C (dummy gauge on the car perhaps?).

Does the digital oil temperature readout (hidden menu) show the same as the gauge or Bimmerlink?
