Shadowline trim option is black instead of chrome. Not sure what people do who don't have shadowline. Wrap is probably the best way to go.

The best way to blackout chrome is to buy some gloss black vinyl on Amazon and wrap it.

Well, you can also purchase all that trim direct from BMW from the parts department... but it'll be crazy expensive.

I've seen this site float around on the forum. Might be worth a gander.

I've tried to wrap it and it was just crazy unrealistic with shadowline.com. The best way I can see to do it is to buy some black paint, spray the parts and reinstall. Other option is to buy the parts and just install them OEM.

I would use plasti dip or some decent automotive gloss and clear

The best idea would be to remove the side mirrors, remove trim, paint, let dry and reinstall.

Hmm, I'm thinking about touching mine up. Know of any DIYs to remove/reinstall the trim?
