F30 340i THP MPPSK vs G20 M340i
Hola Señores
I have a 340i M sport, with THP. I have dinan shockware, springs and bumps. I'm strongly debating getting the MPPSK. I'm also debating getting the M340i. I love how it has the LSD, and the quality of the interior. I don't love how big the car has gotten, though. Thats my main issue, its basically a 5 series. Theres also the price difference. MPPSK will cost around $4K, and the M340i will cost me around another $20K after I trade my car in. I know this is an F30 thread, so there will be bias (im gonna post this in the G20 thread as well)... But I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on this comparison. I haven't driven the M340i yet. Do you think the extra cost is worth it? Any advice and anecdotes would be appreciated. Xo |

What would you recommend if someone asks you if he should have a pizza for lunch or watch a movie after dinner?
This is how impossible your question is to answer.

Yeah I'm a bit scattered. M340i for $20K or add an mppsk to my 340 for $4k is what it comes down to. Hmmm |

If you have 20k or can finance, go drive a M340i and see if it is worth it in your book or not. Sometime... we just want something new and that is that.
Only you can figure it out, no amount of forum asking will be able to figure it out for yourself. In my book, the MPPSK makes sense if you are under warranty, this isn't the best bang for the buck by a long shot. for less than 4k, you can put a LSD, BM3, and all the bolt on bits. I was hell bent on buying an F10 until I drove one... I didn't like it, I test drove a couple of F30 and fell in love.

You must drive an M340i.

It sounds like you prefer the Fxx platform to the Gxx platform from the size perspective.
Are you concerned about warranty on your current ride? Get BM3 Stage 2 and aftermarket exhaust if you aren't. It will cost you $2k or less for that, and be MUCH better performance wise than the MPPSK, and saves you $18k on the M340i which you can spend on pizza, movies AND beer. |

Both are great cars, as other suggested though, go test drive the m340i.
Price aside, I think the MPPSK is the best sounding exhaust for the f30 340i, not to mention the tune. If you already like your car and tend to keep a while then this will definitely put much more driving enjoyment to your current f30. I vote for the MPPSK. |

The cost difference between both choices - $4K vs $20K - make these options 2 completely different paths forward. It's nearly impossible to make an educated comparison.
MPPSK is an evolutionary option and well worth it. MPPSK would be my suggestion if $4K is a budget friendly decision. |
