Do wider tires affect your off line performance
Currently shopping for tires
Set on either; 245 40 19/ 275 35 19 OR 235 35 19/ 265 30 19 I like the meatier option but I don't want to pick option 2 if it will hinder off the line performance as I still want to be able to launch and get the same result as I did with the stock 225 255 setup So will option 2 hinder it noticeably more than option 1 or is the difference so small that it it is doesn't make a difference |

Wider tires may or may not be better off the line. Wider gives more friction, but there comes a point where more friction is too much drag and the wider tire has too much weight. More friction also increases road noise and hurts fuel economy, so you can go too wide. I'd be inclined to not go more than 10mm wider than stock. Also, you have the aspect ratios backwards. 235/35 is a nominal 25.5" diameter, 245/40 is 26.7. You've got to be sure that you get the right diameter.

if same compound, obviously 275/35/19(26.6") will have the most grip due to taller gearing, weight and rolling resistance, especially compared to the much shorter 265/30/19 which is 25.3"(0.7" less than OEM diameter). 265/30/19 also increases speedo error and accrues more mileage by a small percent, increases fenderwell gap and has worse ride and impact protection. imo 235/40/19(26.4") and 265/35/19(26.3") in a race, extreme, or max performance summer compound is the best balance of all these variables for a 19" staggered setup. IF you have a 10" width rear wheel, 245/35/19-285/30/19 is another option to consider. |

What I'd like to know is how often you're taking your car to the dragstrip or track that you think you would in any way whatsoever EVER notice something so negligible in difference...

In that case, just do wider. They look "sexier" and will give you better traction.
Wider does typically increase mass, which effects the "unsprung weight" (harder to spin them up faster), but that most likely is balanced out with the lack of wheel spin and throttle cuts due to that. |

If the wider set can give better performance without slowing me down then I'll go for those Others I don't really mind the 235/265 setup either |

Just a pull 0-60 in empty areas and pushing back roads areas but nothing like need for speed on regular streets no way |
