I wonder if we can generate an fsc code for the MPSK tune like we can for navigation and updating maps. 🤔

I don't understand why didn't the pro BMW retrofitters over in Eastern Europe didn't find a way to generate their own FSC for the MPPK and sell it for $200. I am sure a lot of people would rather spend $200 on a factory supported tune vs $500 for BM3 or MHD.

I personally do not want to crank the boost up that much on a 100k mile engine even if it was well maintained.

Today I went to the dealer to have the car inspected, mount and balance new tires and have a four wheel alignment done all for the reasonable sum of $325. I provided my own DWS 06 Plus tires I got from tire rack for $730 so I am all in about $1050. Not too bad.

The car passed inspection with flying colors and the new tires have transformed the car. I am so happy to get the original rock hard tires off the car. The tires are super quiet and made the car a lot more comfortable. Maybe this weekend I can take it out for a proper drive to break them in.

I'm with you on the tires. When I bought my 440i Msport one of the first things I did was put on a set of DW06 to replace the stock RFT summer tires. The ride/handling balance is much better for my preference, especially in the rear.

I share the same sentiment! On my e90 335 I had the bmw m performance tuned flashed and it was just enough of an upgrade over stock that it kept my happy without ruining the daily driveability of my car. plus it is a factory tune so I was never concerned about "wrecking" my vehicle.

Today I found a set of OEM mirror caps for $35 and put them on my car. I didn't really like the aftermarket ones and to me these look so much more classy.

I found a pre lci ACC pump from Latvia and I will be starting to piece together my ACC retrofit soon. I already have a ACC sensor and my factory ICM supports ACC since I have EDC. It is just about another $800 in brackets, trim, buttons, etc which is really going to sting.

I also discovered that a F30 Kafas windshield is only about $500 compared to the F10 which was $1500. I really need to get my ACC going and put my NBT Evo in the car before I start doing other projects though.

My Pre-LCI ACC ABS pump came in today and I coded it to the car. The seller packed it like shit and brake fluid leaked onto the pump ruining the paint.

Fingers crossed everything works.

My car hit 99000 miles today and I have driven it about a thousand miles since purchasing it. Central PA highways have already doubled the amount of rock chip on the front end which I am super disappointed about. Trucks on the turnpike have now decided to overtake on another throwing up more rocks than usual. I need to get it in my head that this is a daily car and while I can take care of the car to the best of my abilities things will still happen. Overall I am very please with my purchase and hope I can get five good years out of the car.

I have decided that over the next few months I am going to retrofit all of the technology to the car. ACC, Kafas, 6WB and NBT Evo. I have most of the ACC parts now and almost all of my NBT Evo parts so it should not be too expensive.

It's great that you are comfortable doing all this work and appear to have the know-how. But it might be time to change the thread title to Nickco43's I WILL Spend another 10 k on mods to a 3 series. Not that I'm judging you. I've spent quite a bit on my 335 already and have plans for more. Keep up the good work

The evo will cost about $100 to put into my F30 from my F10 so that is a no brainer.

I am $380 into the acc retrofit so fair and hope I can complete it for under $1000. I already had a acc ICM and acc sensor. I just need 4 wheel speed sensors, brackets trim and buttons.

I am hoping I move to a free insurance windshield state and I will be able to get a free kafas windshield. Everything else is about $300.

6WB is a straight $1000 hit (This will be purchased later on).

Minus the 6WB, I will be in these projects for about $1500. I feel like that is worth it for oem apple carplay, adaptive cruise, driving assistant, speed limit info, pedestrian warning, forward collision warning, auto high beams and lane keep.

But I agree I am going on a slippery slope. I am $17k into this car so far and after all of these projects are done I am going to be pushing 19k.

Tonight I got excited and installed the ACC DSC pump. Everything works so I am supper pumped. On my F10 I bought a acc pump from eastern europe for a stupid amount of money and it was seized. This pump also came from eastern europe and it came in three days.

Interesting retrofit. Are the brake lines the same between ACC/non-ACC vehicles?

Wow!!! First off you are a magician when it comes to cleaning up the car. I cannot believe how nice you go the front bumper to look. 2nd amazing detail of all the maintenance you went through. I'm a use buyer and do my own maintenance and this is a great testimony of what we can do ourselves. Good show man.

So it turns out that the previous owner had a 4G combox retrofitted to the car and I was actually able to activate Connected Drive on the CIC!

After ringing up Connected Drive and proving proof of ownership I was able to add the car to the new MyBMW App.

For one glorious moment I had full BMW Online working on my CIC!

Then it stopped working

Later I will call to see what is up.

Did you bring to tires or have them shipped directly to the dealer? I'm shocked and pleasantly surprised you were able to do that.

Tire rack can ship to select dealers in their network, but most would rather sell you the tires themselves. My local dealer declined to accept shipped tires when I bought my tires from the rack.

My dealer encouraged me to purchase tire from tire rack and ship them to them. My dealership is a needle in a haystack and are supper cool. Their labor rate is also $100-$110 an hour which is stupid cheap.

I have ordered all of the bits for my ACC retrofit so hopefully in the next few weeks I will get that going.

I am going to start round two of service. I called up my dealer and it is going to be around $1100 to replace the xDrive fluids and replace all three seals on my rear differential. I knew about the rear diff leak on the PPI but I didn't know the seals with my discount are over $100 a pop. Even though $1100 is a bit tight right now this service would cost a lot more at any other dealer so the car is scheduled to be dropped off on Monday. On the DIY front I am planning to pop off my intake manifold so I can do a quick clean of the intake ports, preventively replace the starter, replace the mickey mouse flange, and replace that little hose that goes to the coolant expansion tank that likes to crack. That should wrap up the service costs for the car for a good while. In total it is going to cost me about $2600 to dial a well maintained car in after purchase. Anyone looking into purchasing a used BMW keep this in mind as all used cars will need a going over after purchase.

I also noticed my car has a 130 MPH limited. I will need to figure out how to code that out. On a plus side my connected drive is now fully functional and it is supper handy to send navigation directions from the MyBMW App straight to the car.

Strong work sir! You are a dedicated individual and props to doing the rest of the tech retrofitting yourself.

This week the dealer resealed my rear differential and performed the xDrive service all for $150 off the original quote!. $950 out the door was the price the PPI dealer wanted for just the one axle seal! Joel Confer BMW in State College, PA is a needle in the haystack. I brought the technicians a box of donuts as a token of my appreciation the next day after I picked up the car. I still need to do a coolant flush, replace the mickey mouse flange and replace the expansion tank coolant hose to finish my second round of servicing so hopefully I won't run into issues down the line.

I have everything I need for the NBT Evo retrofit and I am just missing some wire for my ACC retrofit! I can't wait to get cracking on the retrofits. The CIC has been pretty nice but it is time to turn the car into a tech fest.

Someone six minutes away gave me his OEM diffuser so now my contactless tailgate works perfect now!

I am super happy with this car and can't wait to have it fully dialed in!
