I'm interested as one of my homies will be getting his 40i car soon. If you still have this offer in the next 4 months I can give you a for sure answer.

Dinan Issues Possibly

I have the dinan flash tune and I am concerned that unlike BM3 and JB4 that can clear codes, the dinan will not. So if I do install the catless I have to see whether the dinan tune will cause problems with it or not, and I simply dont have the cash to experiment at the moment.

Never had a code with my ER catted DP FYI.

I'd install it, and get the O2 extender for the bottom O2 sensor if you run into a situation where you are getting the CEL. You can pick up those right angle extenders off of Amazon for cheap.

O2 extender? I never had to install one. The catted VSRF DP threw a CEL on every drive, the ER has never thrown a code in the 2 years I've had it installed.

I see why, yours is catted, mine is cattless so that is my worry about knocking CEL codes.

Ahhh... oooohhh... Yeh, in that case I think you need a O2 emulator or code it out.

The DME is doing an O2 differential across the cat. If catless they are both identical readings which would be a fail for the test since it looks like the cat isn't doing it's job.

I see, do you know of any 02 emulators that actually work? The reviews on the amazon ones are all over the place, and I saw a fabtech one that has a built in cat for 200$. At this point, im considering just returning the catless and exchanging it for a catted.

All good, im reaching out to ER to see if I can swap the unopened catless for a catted one.

With the catted one, you still notice a significant boost in power/performance/sound?

Yes, huge. Sounds really nice, huge gain when running BM3 S2. The car is a demon now, and coupled with the xHP transmission flash, when I punch it doing 60MPH, it will snap your head into the headrest (that is crazy!)
