BMS Diff Brace

Like to hear from rwd or xdrive owners with this mod and if it made a difference. At $130 and simple installation it seems worth it, but still would like to hear what improvements were noticed/felt.

Do you have any slop in the rear end? It mostly fixes diff movement that causes wheel hop. I'm going to try and address it with subframe mount inserts first, which just happen to be about the same price for the full set. Also the diff brace can tend to increase NVH.

I have it in my n55 f30
It definitely tightens it up; but ultimately the subframe bushings are sloshy but it does add stability especially under load, I haven't launched the car yet.
I have akg 75d subframe bushing I'm going to be installing shortly

I pulled the trigger on the brace and should get it on 4/19. I'm thinking of installing the powerflex front and rear subframe mount inserts and diff inserts.

Should I get the street or race version?

Get the race version if you do inserts, the street aren't very noticeable from user reviews

I'm worried that its going to increase NVH compared to the street version.

I'm also eyeing the whiteline stuff as they seem to be very popular with the UK m140i/m240i crowd.

I install the race subframe and diff inserts. No change in NVH.

A little, but the rear wasn't as loose as my E90 to begin with. If I had the time/tools I would have gone full solid. I was actually surprised, the KC design trunk brace was more noticeable.

What was the install like on this? I ordered mine before realizing one needs to drill holes.
