BMW F32 Wheels 442, Legit? Spray Painted?

I have a bmw 2017 420i F32 msport and I recently bought used black 442 bmw rims of Facebook marketplace. The tyres I have right now are size Front 225/40R19 89Y and
Rear 255/35 R19 92Y from Bridgestone, would this fit rims 19x8 front and 19x8.5 rear? . Also I’m not sure if this is a legit black wheel from bmw or spray painted because I already have 442 silver rims on my car and I’m pretty sure it’s a genuine bmw wheel but not 100%. I attacked some images and these used wheels that I’ve bought have came off a 2014 bmw 4 series.

imo, wheels appear legit. bmw sometimes offers genuine wheels in different color options, in this case powdercoated gloss black.

bmw installs 225/40/19+255/35/19 on 19x8+19x8.5 as OE

since you already bought them, is it not a a bit late for concern of authenticity? i cannot tell if it is spray can or powder coat. to me, they look powdercoated, although they are a bit worse for wear. looks like they'll clean up fine, though.

i'd just touch up the silver parts...clean, polish and seal or coat them and install. if you feel it needs re-powdercoating it will not be inexpensive.

442Ms came in two different silver colors (Orbit grey and Ferric grey) with polished metallic accents, not in black.

So this is a genuine bmw but not a genuine black colour? Because it could sometimes be a option putted on these wheels. I’m just trying to see if it is or it’s not.

Seems to me these have been repainted.
  • 1st clue is the fronts are gloss black while from the rim back they are flat/satin black
  • 2nd is that all the wheel weights & their adhesive are exactly the same flat/satin black color of the rim as if someone just spray painted over everything including the weights that were attached
  • 3rd I agree these wheels had polished aluminum on faces of the spokes from factory

Casting numbers on rear of spokes appear that these are OEM BMW - just have been painted

Thank you, it’s abit late now 6days since I bought them from fb marketplace and I have the silver ones on my car that came from the factory , now servicing the car and changing the rims into my wheels since the wheels that came with it is not safe to use that’s what the mechanic told. He also said theses looked spray painted so yeah I think I’ve been scammed. $1250AUD for these 4 rims
But there are OEM. Unless do you guys think the original person that had these choose a black option at bmw dealer and they repainted?

Why does it matter if they were painted at a BMW dealership or painted afterwards? They are OEM BMW wheels which is the important part. If you like them in black, then use them. TBH, it looks like the paint is pretty good, just needs a good clean up. Make sure you have good tires, but painting OEM wheels does not make them unsafe

Yeah Thank you , it’s looks good but the black wheels easier to get dirty and looks like it’s less glossy now I think but your right about the oem, I just could of gotten the same thing for a bit cheaper if I spray painted them since mine same design but oem silver and also since the tyres that came with it was already dead so they were Thrown away and my original tyres were better overall. Only 16 but a this a lesson for me in life . Looks nice though. Some of the images, the lighting might might be bad for the wheels in the photo that was taken inside and in the photo it is around 1 week after using them and just after a car wash.
